First of all, I started vaping back in April of this year. I dipped for 17 years and then started smoking to get away from that and after smoking about 2 packs a day for 11 months or so, I went to vaping. (would have when I quit dipping but didn't know about it. Someone else started vaping at my work finally and thats why I went to it) Much better choice, I'd like to be free of it all but much better. I vape 11mg per ml, started off with 24mg per ml but dropped that down after couple months.

OK, so I work about 9 1/2 hours a day during the week and I have two e-cigs that I take to work with me. 1) 1000 mAh joye passthru ego-c and 2) joye eGo-T Upgrade 18650 (2200 mAh) mod (having issues with it for the last month or so, explain below). On number 2, I've read reviews were a person says "Mine last all week long on a charge" but usually most that I see say it last two days on a charge. Mine? I take off of charger at 7AM, by 5PM it is DEAD 90% of the time and the few times I get it to last longer it might make it to 7PM (using just this ecig for the day, not both) On number 1? Again take it off at 7AM and by 11AM-12:30PM it is DEAD.... When I see others say they can get their's to last all day. On a side note, my old pass thru, 900 mAh smoketech seemed to last longer, so maybe just Joye brand, but they seem well made compared to others, but just don't last long.

On both I use a DCT with a 1.5 dual coil carto, I've used others in the past but this is the setup for me. For many reasons but mainly 6 ml gets me thru the day, unlike clearomizers that the juice might last half a day... On carto, no real reason why I've stuck with 1.5, might have to bump it up, but finding them is the problem. 1.5 and 1.25 are most common I see, and then it jumps to 2 and above. 1.7 single and a few times 1.8 dual (thru madvapes and hoosiers)... Anyways, am I just not doing something right here? Why won't my ecigs last that long? The ego C passthru I have charged with ego charger and passthru charger both (not at same time of course) and it don't (fully charge with ego then plug in passthru and make sure light does not come on or charge with passthru until light goes off and the screw into ego wire charger and make sure light stays green) don't make a difference, battery is fully charged when taken off, but only last about 6 hours at the most. Even though I've read these things should last a "whole" day. On ego-t, I've charged battery with battery charger and the whole mod with a ego charger it makes no difference on it either. Just curious... Using DCT, for 9+ hours, I use right around 3ml of liquid... I am at work so I don't vape constantly, so really don't see why they don't last longer. Of course I can take both of them with me and get further, but, I get tired of keeping track of two e-cigs, two dct's, etc. every day. Wanna keep it simple. One for work and one for home after. But because of my trouble with ego-t upgrade mod, I've found that my other one is simply not good enough to go that long.

OK, now for the trouble I've been having with my ego-t upgrade mod... For about a month or so, it has been blinking at me. Unscrew carto and it seems to work fine, screw carto back on and it blinks. If I switch to unregulated mode, I can get one vape before it resets and starts blinking again. Have had it (bought at myfreedomsmokes as the full mod, comes with tube, switch, and battery) for about 5 months now. I bought a new head unit (switch) and it is the version 2 (flat button) and received yesterday, but it is still doing same thing it did with my old switch (button that stuck out, v-1). So I checked to make sure that maybe bottom hasn't lost contact (bottom comes out in case of emergency) with tube and ohm meter shows continuty and .03-.04 resistance between bottom and tube. Even with head unit screwed on it is same so threads are good too. I am at lost with this and can't really afford another or still yet a more expensive APV. But really need one that will get me thru the day...

Any ideas? Anyone? Thanks

You are a heavy vaper. So am I. If it takes X amount of battery/juice to to get through the day without smoking, then do it.

Don't worry so much about what it should do, deal with what it does do, and vape.

In you case, I'd be looking at more serious hardware. Provari is my suggestion. All of my power problems dissapeared when I got mine.

100% agree.

Also, getting away from dual coils might help and no need for them if you go variable voltage, imo.

Have you tried anything else on them. LR while great and will let a 3.7 volt mod work like a 5 volt will also drain the battery faster. I also seem to recall that dual coils can be harder on the battery than a single coil.

They do make a 1.7 single coil carto that can be used in the tanks if that is a major concern.

Another +1.... Provari with ext cap 18650...... Cant go wrong with a Provari........... VV same hit through out the battery charge...

Did anyone bother reading this?? The provari may very well be a great device, but if the OP isn't in a position to get one telling him to doesn't help!

Dual coil takes more power to make it work. I don't know if a Provari would alleviate the problem of your short battery life or not. It does sound like if you like the dual coils, you will have to upgrade your battery. Edit to add: Or you might try a single coil. That should extend the charge on your battery.

The blinking light, I think, means that you are drawing too much power for the battery to handle. Someone will come along and correct me if I am wrong :)

Will certainly try using single core cartos. Provari sounds like a great one, but not anytime soon.

1.7 single in the past seemed to mess up fairly quickly. Start flooding and or just stop working. I've been having lots of issues with cartos in the last couple months anyways. Seems, everyone complained about 3 hole cartos flooding, so they tried to fix with too much filling and now they won't absorb juice and can never get them to not have burnt taste. Had 10, have 3 now, 6 of them was burnt no matter what I did to them. I could soak them and come back a few hours later and it would be burnt... Just got a new Smoketech upgraded tank (locking one) with a 1.8 carto in it and is this way too. So that is 7 out of 11 cartos that are not right in the last month alone. I've taken them apart and had to cut blanket, few of them had coils shoved together, like someone just crammed it together. Tried fixing them and they broke apart, the ones that weren't after cutting some of blanket out, it would work (not burnt) but then two or three days later it would start flooding all the time. So I gave up on fixing them, and just throw them to the side.

I did buy new head. So either A) it is faulty (highly doubt) right off the bat or B) perhaps something else is wrong. I've tried a different 18650 battery and it makes no difference either. One thing, how can I check the ohms of my cartos? Maybe not only are they lower quality (7 out of 11 couldn't get rid of burnt taste) but maybe they are lower resistance than before, even though I'm ordering 1.5's still? I use same tank on my ego passthrough and it fires it, but maybe thats why it don't last until noon most days...

Thank you everyone for your post, I will certainly start getting singles and when I can afford, will look at the provari...

Where do I find them? (Kanger t3's) Don't remember seeing them but honestly haven't really been looking. I used my coworkers vivinova that had 1.8 ohm head in it and my 18650 mod seemed to not mess up as much, but it has gotten worse since then. I could get to work with my carto's but it would mess up after a while, now even with fully charged battery, it just blinks at me until I put it in unregulated mode then I get one vape and then back to blinking... Even with new smoke tech with so called 1.8 carto that isn't working right it does the same. (and with new head unit/switch)

I'm just looking to figure out why my ecigs don't last. not knowing what info is important I'm trying to mention everything. I've used this setup since April (1.5 cartos in dcts. Ego-t upgrade mod since July and joye passthrough since august or so, before I used smoke passthru and flashlight mod with 18500 batteries), and it always worked until recent, but I also didn't have as much trouble with cartos either. I don't know maybe just me. Will try single core though and see. Of course, if anyone knows whats up let me know please.

Thanks
