How to fix Kanger mini 4.5ml subtank leak & confirm authenticity

Hello fellow Kanger subtank owners...

I purchased the Kanger subtank mini 4.5ml and initially it was great then all of a sudden, it started leaking. This is still the original, didn't have chance to try RBA yet. Is this a common problem with this tank and if so, how do you stop the leaking?

I noticed in a thread for the user to confirm if the tank is authentic or a knock off. How do you confirm the authenticity?

I don't know about how to authenticate STM, but I can say that the one I have is authentic direct from Kangertech and it does leak when placed on its side. For me the leaking was worse with the newer style vertical OCC's, less with the horizontal OCC's and did not occur when I built on the RBA, fingers crossed. I took cues from a YT vid, RipTrippers IIRC.

In my experience the coils make all the difference. When I build on the RBA I get no leaks, but the new vertical coils leak like crazy when it's on its side. Also, you should be able to authenticate using the code card that came in the box on Kanger's website.

i stopped the leaking by throwing the version 1 pre amde coils out and using the RBA, the square coils are bad for leaking problems, i suspect the new round ones will completely fix it though

My tank leaked and I never got it to stop leaking. I think its the sq. coils that's the problem.

It's also depends on VG/PG ratio in liquid but on RBA if you wick this beast correctly there is no leakage even at 80PG!
