Yeah, they're nice. I got the same and pulled a code from my 02 sube, researched online, determined that it wasn't that important and reset the check engine light and have been fine.

I have an "Ultra-Gauge" attached to my Tacoma. Contained within the wealth of knowledge given my by that little bugger is a code reader and a code clearer. If a code cannot be cleared then off I go to a search engine for the Oracle of Truth or I go to the thread "How T Fix Stuff" to find what the code means and how to fix it.

I have watched a lot of Scotty.
He’s a character and has quite the following.
As I do the vast majority of wrenching on my vehicle, OBD readers are a godsend. Hell, I keep one in my glove box. Don't know how many times I've saved someone major bucks by reading a code on their vehicle, then showing them which part to replace.
And they’ve become so stinking cheap.

Scotty, he cracks me up, too. But I have learned some stuff from him. Today, I never knew a pump lube existed. I don't have a pressure washer, I find them over rated, over used, mis-used and often damage what is washed. I had one, with a Honda engine, a guy down the road has it now. The proper scrub brush and Oxyclean or Dawn works for me.

Another Scotty Kilmer video. The guy cracks me up but this one teaches us a valuable lesson about being a cheapskate. Lesson: You get what you pay for.

Pump lube vital! If you use a power washer you gotta run lube thru the pump before you store it.

It is costly but when I was looking for something similar to mine I did some smaller and less expensive. A friend of mine bought the $43 model, blue - he likes it but only needs it a couple of times per year. Good for smaller engines.

Next job: New upper/lower/LH/RH ball joints, inner/outer/LH/RH tie rods, and LH/RH end links for my 1993 Dodge Dakota. These are original parts I'm taking off so they've had 28 years to become one with the rest of the truck. I have my PB Blaster, 3/4" breaker bar w/6' cheater pipe, 800 lb 1/2" drive impact wrench, Puller kit and Press kit ready. Wish me luck.

    Hubs was a self employed mechanic/body man. He made most stuff look easy but still ran into the PITA stuff often enough.

    Oh, yeah! If you have the right tools you can do just about any job and it's not too hard. But there are times I don't care who you are or what tools you have, things just don't go well. And some of it is predictable. Like when you have pressed on parts that have been exposed to the elements for 28 years. But it's better to know going in than to be surprised. One can arm up and get their minds right before they begin.
