Bagged mouse #2. All I have is two live traps. Had one inside the crawl and one outside. The inside trap got both of them. So I will put both inside and see if more are still lurking. If I keep catching mice I'll get a dang glueboard or sumpin'.
Mouse #3 and #4...
Not seeing any insulation bits on the floor registers. Mouse 1 and 2 must have been the rowdy ones. Resetting traps again. See if there are more. All I can say is these live traps work great. They do not miss. I bought them a couple years ago (was a two-pack). Used them once. The trap I had been using previously did not work for two weeks. I went to the new trap and the mouse was caught in 15 minutes. They do not miss! I like the live traps because they don't leave mouse guts splattered all over the place. Not as fun but nice and clean.

They get tossed way back in the woods (mice will travel only 50 feet). They're dinner for a variety of animals lurking around back there including owls, hawks, copperhead, etc..
Just like me...

I thought the same thing. Used to have cats. Some good mousers in the bunch. The last one was not. She'd make friends with a mouse before thinking of hurting it.
No mouse action in the basement for weeks, now I've had 3 in 3 days. I set a trap near the door (steps that go to bilco doors).
How about the insulation? Any new sightings?
That was a 6 year old post. However, Stihl is not an easy brand for DIY repairs. Not easy to find quality parts. Great equipment, DIY unfriendly.
None. The insulation destruction stopped after I caught the first two mice. They had to be the rowdy ones.
Well what an embarrassment. Here I was getting ready to fired up one more time but I was behind the times.
Well, the oil and filter are changed, all five zerks on the drive shaft are greased. The power steering did get done because I must have used it all last time and did not have any, glad I checked before withdrawing some from the reservoir.
Tacoma four cylinder oil filter is in a terrible place for old folks [or even the young and lazy] to get to which is why 4 cyl oil changes are generally poorly done.
