IMO heat!

I'm using the dual coil cartomisers from ecigwizard at the moment and the vapour is very hot on my tongue when I pull on it and it gives a much bigger throat hit than my single coil Boges...

having said that, I'm not a big throat hitting person. I want to feel something, but not unpleasant.

Heat helps but I'm vaping a pretty hot clearo right now it singes my lips if I'm not careful... with a 50/50 eliquid and there's almost no TH. There's simply multiple factors involved in getting a good TH.

tandy - what are you using - what ecig w/ what atomizer or cartomizer, what nicotine level, what PG/VG. It's hard to figure out what you need without knowing what you are currently using.

For all ecigs, more nicotine is more TH and higher PG juices let through the TH best, high VG juices dull TH

If you are using a tiny super-mini, you need to get a better ecig

If you are using a slim mini ecig then you can't get the most heat because slim ecigs cannot use low resistance parts. So your TH will depend mostly on your nicotine level and what proportion of PG your juices has. High PG juices let through TH better.

If you are using a fat battery model or mod with 450mah+ of battery charge, then use lower ohm atomizers or cartomizers

95% of throat hit comes from two things: warmth of the vapor (bigger battery PV's) and higher level of nicotine. More PG vs VG, adding PGA and different ingredients in eliquid only account for the last 5%. Good throat hit is NOT a burning sensation which is all you get with additives such as pepper extract to site one example. I think you would have had to have vaped different PV's at 3.2 volts, 3.7 volts, 5 volts and variable volts and with different atomizers/cartomizers and different nic levels to experience the true difference in good throat hit. If you are only looking for a small increase in throat hit, then an additive to your liquid such as PGA, may do the trick. If you want truely good throat hit that is consistent and “warm” not “hot”, then you need a good 5 volt or variable volt PV. Low resistance attys are a good intermediate step to increase TH, but in my experience they do not hold up well and cannot be used on certain PV's.

Tks,I am vaping with 650mAh T-rex(3.4V). Which ohm for 510 atty should I choose?

TH is nicotine, and is enhanced by heat

A KR808D-1 (like Vapor4Life) is the only slim ecig that provides a bit of heat. it is a real 3.7v device.

If you are using a slim ecig and your nicotine is not giving enough TH, then you need to go fat battery or mod so you can EITHER have more voltage OR be able to use low resistance atomizers. On a 3.4-3.7 volt battery that is larger than 450mah you use LR (low resistance) atomizers and cartomizers for heat. On a variable voltage or high voltage, you can use standard atomizers or cartomizers and those ARE low resistance for a high voltage PV, or you can crank up the voltage on a variable voltage PV.

What you cannot do on a slim ecig is use low resistance parts. They can damage the batteries,

I find my best throat hits not in what I'm using but how I use it. I tend to notice the best throat hit when I pool the vape in the front of my mouth and reinhale it.

When you use a good variable volt or 5 volt PV, there is no need to inhale in some uncommon way. The PV does all the work and you get great throat hit by just pressing the button. But you still need to have 18+mg nic strength.
