I've been vaping for less then a month so I'm pretty inexperienced with it all and I've noticed that the more i vape the flavor seems to severly diminish. When i first tasted cinnamon bun from MBV i could taste it ALL. The dough, the icing, and the cinnamon were all there but now all i get is cinnamon and the same goes for the rest of my juices. So are there any tricks or anything that i don't know about to get the flavor back to where it used to be???
P.S. Sorry if its a dumb question lol

Hi there, Congrats on making it 27 days!

This is about the time that the dreaded "vaper's tongue" hits. There are all kinds of ideas about what can fix it. Try rotating your flavors more, try sniffing some fresh coffee grounds, drink a little lemon juice, eat something spicy, etc.

Basically, your taste buds are on overdrive and have now shut down for a time. The idea is that if you reset your palette, you will be able to taste again. Or, just vape something you don't like much because if you can't taste it, it won't matter that you don't like it. :D

It will go away after a bit. And it comes back periodically, for a while anyway.

The other things I find helps, drink a lot of water, sometimes minty flavors help (like chewing gun), and I always keep at least two flavors of liquid on rotation throughout the day, that way you don't get too used to a flavor. I tend to find that if I vape one flavor for too long I start to lose a lot of the subtler nuances in a flavor and it just tastes like nothingness and boring. Not good.

Edit: just realized I said chewing GUN... please don't chew on a gun. Not only is it unsanitary, it just sounds like a bad idea!

hmm, yeah i hear you, but you also need to look at your gear.

I chain vape, always have, and over the years, gone through most of whatever kind of atomizer there was. When RBA's came out it was bye bye conventional atomizers, hello better flavor.

I've found for me that good dripping atomizer RDA's including tank drippers are best. Some are getting great results from Pro Tanks which I have not gotten into, but worth a try.

If nothing else works try Pluid!… just kidding.

I wild like to offer an alternative possibility. If you have been using the same tank (and atomizer coil) it's possible the coil is getting gunked up, reducing flavor output. I make it a practice to clean and dry burn my atty coil at least every other tank. If possible, try a different tank or atty coil with this flavor to see.

Funny you mention that i started looking into dripping atomizers right after i posted this thread, can you recommend a good beginner dripper without breaking the bank?

Ah, Vaper's Tongue. Gotta love the frustration that comes along with it.

I must say, though, that I'm having a hell of a time trying to get flavour out of my new Sophia. :(

Was hoping it would be just like the flavour of a standard Boge carto, but it seems more in line with a CEx or Protank, all of which I loathe due to the flavour muting. Need to get my post count up in here so I can seek help in the proper threads!

As several people have mentioned, eating/drinking something acidic will probably help. I actually picked up a box of TruLemon because sometimes lemons can be difficult to find in Puerto Rico (I know that is probably surprising, but it's true). I just open one of the packets and pour it on my tongue. Yes, very it's very sour, but it's no worse than sucking on a lemon slice. I've actually noticed that it not only helps my taste return, but it also enhances the flavors for a short time after.

By the way, another tip--we all have e liquids that we don't like. Those "vaper tongue" times are a really good time to use those liquids!

I had a cold and sore throat so I gargled some salt water. To my surprise my vapors tongue went away. I now gargle and swish salt water. brush my tongue with this solution, then rinse clean with just water. Works pretty good, but the best solution to avoid vapors tongue is to not chain vape too much, taking breaks between vaping sessions. However I often don't follow my own advice as sitting back and chain vaping is hard to resist.--Bo
