How to get the most vape/is there a best atomizer for my mod?

Hello, i've been a vapor for a good 5 months now but shamefully my knowledge on them is very limited (I currently think more wattage = more cloud hehe) could someone explain the wattage/voltage and how it relates to things...

Also, i have a MVP 20w and have had 3 tanks... Nautilus, Gimlet giant (it broke) and a Trend vapes V8 but have had little problems with them all. What would be the best tank (if there is) for my mod, is there a tank that will work with full 20w, 7.5v that wont taste horrible?

Recommend me some good tanks!

IMO, the Aspire Nautilus will be hard to beat without getting into rebuildable atomizers. If you're interested in making your own coils/wicks, a Kayfun-style rebuildable tank atomizer produces great flavor and decent clouds. It's what I have found to be the best tank for me.

You will need to decide if you prefer a tighter (mouth to lung) or looser (direct lung hit) draw, more vapor or more flavor, a cooler or warmer vape. Different tanks tend to go one way or the other in performance and vaping style. There is no true "best" tank that suits everyone's preference.

Do you want to run your MVP at 20W or at 7.5V or both? Just because you "can" run that hot, do you really "have" to?

To get max voltage from running max watts (or vice versa - setting one and using a constant resistance coil, the other "occurs"), you would need a resistance of 2.8125 ohms (Watts = V^2/R, therefore R = V^2/Watts, therefore R = 7.5*7.5/20 = 2.8125 ohms)

What are you trying to accomplish with your vape? Is it a race to see how hard you can push your mod? Do you want clouds? Do you want flavor? Are you just trying to quit smoking?

"Best" is so subjective. Where one person wants to make rain, another person wants to sip intricate flavors. As Baditude mentions, there will be give and take, depending on what you're trying to achieve.

I like different styles, depending on my "vape mood". I "sip" with Nautilus, Protank 2, and kayfun clone tanks. I blow big clouds with my RDA or a Kanger Subtank.

First off, all the above

Voltage applied to a resistance will produce heat. That heat can be "measured" in watts, according to Ohm's Law and Watt''s Law. If you put your MVP in VW mode, it will adjust the volts for you to hit the watts you've set. If you put it in VV mode and change to a different resistance coil, you'll need to manually adjust the volts to get back to the power setting that you like.

And that's the bottom line. What I like, what Bad or Dinger or anyone else likes... well, might be a good starting point for you, but you need to adjust the setting to what keeps YOU from smoking. And/or any other aspect of vaping that interests you.

I echo all that stated above. If you're not totally against the idea of building your own coils, I'd highly recommend the kayfun lite plus. The vape is fantastic, TH is outstanding, and they're extremely easy to build for and deal with. Tobeco and EHPro clones of the KFL+ are now in the $15-$20 range, so eminently affordable. However if you're more into cloud volume than flavor, the KFL+ might not suit you.

As everyone has stated, it's not just about watts. What mostly determines the amount of vapor a coil can produce is heat and surface area.

Despite sounding like a broken record (broken record), "best" varies greatly. The kayfun is a great tank. I also really, really like the Orchid tanks, specifically the V6. It's a rebuildable 4 post tank, so you can easily customize the coils. It gives great flavor and has a pretty large juice capacity. It's also fairly cheep; Fasttech has them for about 12 bucks.

Hey, we all new as much as you when we started!

So don't feel silly at all. Can't find out (or at least not quickly) without asking. And, yes, the more specific questions are, the better they can be addressed, but at the same time, there are so many options and types and terms these days, it's hard to keep all the terms straight.
