Since buying them seems to be difficult, I was wondering if someone could tell me exactly how to make them like the ones they sell at cov.

I am wondering about exact dimensions and how they professionally connect the R and NR wires so that they are cleanly connected.

I don't want to be without them and figure I should just make my own from now on. I know others would love this info too.

I am familiar with the methods most use. What I am hoping for is the exact dimensions and procedure that imeo uses with his.

I don't have any videos to recommend other then Imeo's and or Scotts videos both of which are in the video sticky at the top of the forum. As for measurements I tend to use either a VV device or a kicked GGTS so I don't tend to measure anything.

That being said I typically use 1 of 2 different methods. Either the twist together nr and r wires which both of the above videos are great for.
Sometimes I will use crimp beads if I want a smaller easier connection.

Both methods have there strengths and weaknesses. The crimp beads are smaller connections which means for me easier to make sure they aren't sticking out anywhere they shouldn't be. However it took me about half a bag of beads to gt good at it (kept over crimping). Their downside is they don't like dry burning much. I am thinking it is because the heat is weakening the silver to much causing them to pop. The twist method coils are almost indestructable when it comes to heat and tension strength however sometimes I have to fiddle with the twisted part since they can sometimes stick out of channels and cause a short.

I would recommend picking up a spool of cheap wire and play around making dummy coils. Since r wire is dirt cheap I recommend practicing with it unless you can find cheaper wire. I personally use a pair of needle nose pliers and some snub nosed pliers to do the twists. Because of these I can get my twists nice and tight which allows me to make the twisted part as small as possible.

Anyways good luck and i am sure others will be along to help

Ok let me break it down to you. There is no SET dimensions. saying this you can use gauge 32,34,36
All up to you and what range of ohms you like to be.

I personally like 32 gauge some foks may like 36 gauge and so forth.

I like 32 resistance wire because it gives me ability to play with low ohms and a bit high ohms. what does that mean? Simple I get to taste a good range of ohms. On my videos you see me at .8 ohms and 3.5 ohm and I use 36 gauge resistance wire.

36 gauge wire is more for the folks that really dont want to play much with low ohms and may prefer to be at the 2.5 and up ohms category.

There is no right or wrong here. this is all personal vaping choice of what you like best to be at. Since ohms are very customizable to your resistance wire you have freedom of choice to decide and try different ohms with your single battery 3.7 volts or with 2 3.7 volts to make it 7.4 volts. its a matter of finding your sweet spot then keep building that coil.

This will take some trial and error so that you can fully benefit the rewards.

Tonight Ill record a simple how to do video on making a coil. It will be safe and should be easy enough so that anyone can do.

I think Ob, that the Western Union method could work. However, in the interest of keeping the connections as small as possible with these little wires I believe that connection method would result in too long of a join. You would have to do a lot of twists so they don't pull apart. Surface friction on the small, smooth, wires is very low so unless you do a very long join they will pull apart easily.

By folding them back on themselves it makes them much more difficult to pull apart.

What about this? I go to this website to check for new geeky gadgets and found something that might be useful for putting those wires together.

Wire Glue

It's interesting for sure...but no way to tell what's in it. Carbon based is one thing but what else? It does say it's lead free which is great but who knows what else it's made of.

I got off cigs to get away from all the chemicals so unless I know what's in it I don't want to vape it.

from what these look like I would think its made using some type of resistance welding , what you need to get it done ? I have no idea but I would think that some sort of power supply could be used . sorry , that's all I got .

I agree 100% particularly because the joint would be in direct contact with juice and heat. Check out the main ingredient in super glue sometime, you'll be surprised.

Just make them yourself I would say as it ain't that hard. Bishop made a video that entails how to connect the wires together and along with the length for the NR and R wire. Imeo himself made some videos also on how to make those wires. Once you try a couple of time, it gets easier and easier, and you will become a master at it in no time. I got the Penelope like a week ago, which is my first RBA, and it took me 3-4 wire assembly's in order for me to make one blindfolded.

I like the convenience of premade wires also, but I can never seem to get them. I usually take a hour or so on the weekend and make a bunch of coils and wrap them around the wick. I do this so that they can just be dropped in and i don't have to make a new one every time. When I get down to 5 coils, I make more.
