Ok so I was reading the Mesh over the wick with no res wire thread and I noticed a post about someone not using any nr wire on their build. So I got to thinking. And I can't see a reason why a coil with only 1 nr wire wouldn't work about the same as a coil with 2 on the v2/Penelope ceramic housing. Granted depending on how you build your coils and the position of your first coil you might get an extra mm or 2 of res wire but since as I understand it electricity travels the path of least resistance and the nr wire is grounded in the metal channel wouldn't it ground to the first point that the r wire made contact with the ceramic housing metal? If so this might make coil building slightly easier for some.

If I recall correctly when Imeo announced the V2 changes he mentioned being able to only use 1 nr wire but I havn't seen many people mention it.

I can easily see that happening especially on the posative side. However if electricity travels the path of least resistance it should essentially stop flowing through the wire at the point where it makes contact at the ceramic base since that ould be the negative contact point. Either way I will try it next time I rebuild. My current coils are working very well atm and I dislike rebuilding hen it isn't needed.

Again I don't really know much about electricity so it is just a thought
