How to remove drip tip from IKV io6 atti ??

It is super tight and now super stuck. I read exact reviews on the drip tip page on ikv website. How can I remove it ? I bought only 1 drip tip

Any tips , like heating under water or something ? IDK

I left the atty on my REO and pulled the drip tip really hard! You can try putting it in the freezer for awhile. Might make it loose enough to remove.

Unscrew the atty from mod and use a small rod I use a jewellers screw driver or something like that and push the atty out if you push from the side of the atty you wond bugger it up.

i grab carefully at the bottom with a pair of bent nose needlenose pliers. i do that on my 306s too. just dont grab the threads and you'll be golden...even though i have done that and never messed one up yet.

Done did that and the atty fell apart on me. So if it's not too tight you should be good but well it just depends

I did it with Pyrex tips that appaerently aren't meant for Cisco attys. so they fit real tight.

The freezer tip works. Try that first. It has been used before by a few on stuck tips.

The hot water would make it worse .... The metal expands when hot more than the drip tip material would.

You can do the exact opposite. Put it in the freezer for an hour or two and the metal will contract a bit and it should be able to wiggle off .... Good luck.

EDIT: I see Karen beat me to it ..... It does work though, I've done it a few times.

Use your hair dryer, heat it up while turning it, after about 15-20 sec's it will slide right off No tools needed either

I put it in the freezer for a day. Didnt change.
