Hello. I'm really new to vaping, and I got an ipv DV2 from a friend. However, I can't find out how to replace the cotton for this particular atomizer. Does anyone know how? I can't find this atomizer anywhere.

No Idea what it is, but it Looks like Clapton coils from the crappy picture (not an insult, just a poor picture), but the ring around the coils should come off, then wicking would not be a problem. As it sets, no way to wick it, it has to come further apart. JMHO

I can't find a way to take it apart further. It has a screw, but taking it out does nothing.

The ring around the coils HAS to screw off, it could be stuck, but if you want to use it, you have to figure out how to take that ring off to wick it. That's the best I can advise you. :(

Welcome to ECF. It looks like a standard run of the mill dripper.

I think, perhaps, it is. It looks like a Velocity, or a clone thereof. Pretty standard fare these days. Maybe a Velocity v2 by the position of the indirect-airflow holes that I can see one of there in the shadow.

First: replace that screw you took out of the bottom. Then, screw the atomizer onto your IPV D2 so you have something (the IPV) besides those tiny threads to grab onto. Then you should be able to pull the top cap off the atomizer with relative ease. I say "relative" because it'll be a lot easier than trying to pull it off with just the threads to grab on to but it might still take a bit of force to remove. The only Velocity atomizer I have experience with is the V.Mini clone made by Tobeco but on that one, at least, the o-rings hold the cap on pretty darn tight and getting it on or off can be a real pain in the you-know-what sometimes.
