I'm new to LR attys and dripping in general. I've gotten a decent hold on it, and i've started to get a feel for when it needs more juice. Well, now i've got a nasty cold, and I pretty much can't taste the vapor at all. I'm paranoid about running it too dry, but my taste is so shot that i can't detect any change in flavor. I'm afraid to wait until a noticeable drop in vapor, because i don't know how easy it is to burn these out. As a result, I've flooded my atty a little a couple of times, though not too severely compared to some accounts i've read.

I guess my question is this: how easy is it to ruin a LR510 atty and am i more likely to ruin it by flooding it or running it too dry? I'm thinkin its better to err on the side of wetness, but i was hoping some pros could help me out.

Keeping it wetter is always better, with LR's. Try putting the tip of your tongue near the mouthpiece as you inhale. Sometimes when the rest of my tongue and throat isn't working right, the tip can still taste things.

With atties in general, people have wildly different experiences. A lot of people say they have a tough time getting LR's to last for 2 or 3 weeks. I've been vaping one LR 510 atty, every single day, for almost a month and a half.

I just keep it wet, and clean it a couple times a week. Isopropyl alcohol soak for 10 minutes or so, set to dry in front of a fan overnight. The next morning, the atty will be completely bone-dry. So make sure you prime it well - I put in 7 or 8 drops to get it going.

I good LR atty is going to let you know when it's dry! Trust me I go through periods where I can't taste as well as others, but I can always taste that harsh dry hit of when a LR needs juice.

Too much maintenance can be a bad thing IMO as well, maybe blow them out and drain them upside down over night weekly. What I've found to really rejuvenate them well is to mix up a 3ML bottle of 50/50 PG and PGA, blow the atty out, put 4-5 drops in it, and "Puff" until you vaporize that. I say "puff" because I don't inhale that, I have accidentally but I wouldn't recommend.

When finished blow out and again, prime with juice and vape. You'll actually hear the heating element change sounds while using this method. It seems like a really good way to remove junk build up on the coil. Good luck. boB
