Fridge for long term is recommended...Cool and dark will do. Also, I noticed that sometimes liquids will pick up a plastic flavor if left in plastic so I bought a 12 pack of pint mason jars for like $8 and decant my PG and VG into them before storing.

Nic should also be moved into glass if it's gonna last you longer than six months.

what type of glass are you storing your Nic or juice for the freezer ? And not breaking ? I take what will be needed from the PG VG and store the rest in the fridge or freezer.

ANy brown or blue glass will work for the freezer. PG/VG/NIC don't expand like water so glass won't break when freezing. You should fill bottles stopping a quater inch from the top for NIC solutions. The less air the better.

Am I missing something? I have my nic and 50/50 in a regular freezer and it ain't frozen. Should I have it in the deep freeze?

Your not missing anything. PG&VG have a lower freeze point than what our freezers reach. The purpose isn't to freeze them solid, it's just to slow down molecular activity, hence slowing down oxidation. At least that's why I store my Nic in the freezer. I store my PG&VG in a cool dark place.

Steve

In a fridge or freezer the bottles do not need to be colored...there's no light in there except for a very brief period when you open the door which has absolutely no effect on the liquid ;)

I use pint mason jars for vg/pg and standard boston rounds for nic (that just happen to be brown).

I was thinking of storing nic. in the freezer in 8 oz. Ball mason jars. Is there any reason you (or anybody) know of why this might be a bad idea?
Thanks!

I like storing mine in 60ml Amber glass bottles in the freezer. I buy 100mg/ml in 500ml bottles. Break it up into 60ml bottles, keep 1 out to work from and store the rest in the freezer. For me 60ml lasts a few months, that way it stays fresh. Seems like 8 ounce bottles (240ml) would be a lot to have out at a time. Just my :2c:

Steve

Edit It's best to let your Nic come back to room temperature after taking it out of the freezer to avoid condensation.

Yes...8 oz. might be too much for me at one time too. Ball also have 4 oz. jars that are much sturdier looking than the amber boston rounds I have. I was wondering if Ball mason jars might seal better or if maybe the rubber/plastic lid composition they have might not be a good idea.

The lids I have for my boston rounds are PE foam.

Hmmm...

Ron, I'm not sure which one would be better, but I think 4 ounce jars (120ml) would be a better choice than 8 ounce jars for Nic. I did seperate my gallons of PG&VG into 32 ounce canning jars though. So far so good for that. For my Nic I'm using the Amber glass with polycone caps. Good luck!

Cheers,
Steve
