I've finally formulated a Vanilla I like! The problem is, no matter how much TFA Sweetener (sucralose with a touch of cotton candy) I add, it won't sweeten up. There's no mouth feel at all, just a dry blah.

Any tips on making this recipe sweeter?

Tom's Vanilla
TFA French Vanilla 5%
TFA Vanilla Bean 4%
TFA Honey at 1:50 concentration 3%
TFA Vanilla Bourbon 3%
TFA Bavarian Cream 4%
TFA Cappucino 1%
TFA Sweetener 20%

It's a 50/50 blend of VG to PG.

That last number should tell you how desperate I am to get some sweetness out of this recipe. How do I do it?

I think the most sweetener I've ever used in a mix was 1%! 20% sounds like way, way, way too much  . If you started that high I think it may be the case of too much tasting like nothing. Cotton Candy/EM I don't really consider sweeteners, they sometime do make things taste sweeter though but also can make the flavor taste fuller and maybe even mute flavors a little bit. In high concentration, I think it tastes like burnt sugar.

Sometime if I'm looking to give something a sweeter (and fuller) taste and don't want to add sweetener, I add 1-2% Marshmallow. I also like to add 1-3% Caramel to a lot of mixes for a sweet taste, but I really like Caramel.

Not sure if any of this really helps, just my :2c: . Good luck!!! :toast:

Cheers,
Steve
