How to take care of a DNA30?

I just picked up a VaporFlask, it is my first DNA30.

My question is, what is the best way I can take care of the mod so the DNA30 chip doesn't fry, ware out, or anything like that? Is there a certain amp limit I should not pass? I have been rocking a kayfun at 1.5ohms at 30 watts, but I am a tad weary to bring a .6 ohm coil to 30w. I am afraid I will fry the chip and ruin a $300 mod. Anybody have an answer to that?

Put the batteries in properly or the DNA30 is toast.

The chip will not put out more or less power than it can handle. If you try to do something stupid, it will either not do it or simply ignore you and do what is best.

People at my local shop keep telling me not to use it with builds below 1 ohm, and if I do, do not fire it at more than 15w. Is this bull....?

It is a DNA30 regulated device, so it should protect itself and such issues, but I am not familiar with the specific device. I would address that question to the VaporFlask folks. They are very good at answering emails.

that's bull. the only way your going to ruin it is by getting the chip wet, keep an eye out for leaks into the 510 connection as it might not be completely sealed, other than that use it and enjoy it and don't worry about it. the chip is not fragile and you can't hurt it by using it. also another reason to not worry is even if the chip did ever go bad the mod is far from ruined, the chip can be replaced and the mod would still have more than half it's value even if the chip was bad. use it and enjoy it and don't worry about it

The people at your vape shop are obviously mech mod minded and don't understand high power regulated devices or ohm's law for that matter very well.

You can use the Evolv DNA30 down to .5 ohms. The Evolv DNA 30D Data Sheet should help.

As long as it is authentic, it will not fire unsafely. The approved lower limit is 0.5ohms. Some have reported going as low as 0.3ohms and still being able to fire the Evolv DNA30 chipset.

Be forewarned there are now cloned Vaporflask on the market. Make sure it is legit. Return it if it is a clone. Especially, if you paid that much and it is a clone.
