I have been vaping my all day vape happily with no problems with loss of taste. Yesterday morning, I was kind of sleepy
and when I made my coffee in my K-cup machine, I noticed it tasted funky. Really funky. I had already left the house by the time I took my first sip, so I was desperate for caffeine and continued to drink until half was gone and I couldn't take it anymore. I couldn't get the funky taste out of my mouth all day, no matter what I did. To make matters worse, it made my vape taste funky. Now, my first vape of the day with my coffee is my all time favorite vape, so somebody was going to have to answer for ruining it.
Turns out I was the guilty party.
When I got home, I went to make a fresh cup of coffee and when I opened the water tank, I noticed a sickeningly sweet smell. I checked the empty bottle from the water I had filled the tank with that morning, and in my semi-conscious state, I had poured a large bottle of my husband's grape flavored water into the machine. YUCK! The bottles look the same except for a teeny tiny picture of grapes and flavored water written in small type. I scrubbed the machine, ran about eight cups of clean water through it, and it still tasted funky. I scrubbed it again. Finally, this morning, the taste is almost completely gone and I can enjoy my coffee and my vape.
I always try to help new members out, so here is my tip for the day---don't put grape flavored water in your coffeemaker unless you want your vape to taste like a cup of something left over after a party where coffee and cheap wine were poured together while cleaning up (not that I'd know what that tastes like, I'm just guessing
). There is a very good reason the people who make K-cups don't make grape flavored coffee. You can get caramel, vanilla, cinnamon, toffee, chocolate, etc., but NO GRAPE. I'm shuddering just remembering the taste.
I'm glad I could help out those who were planning to try this new taste sensation.
