How to use a kr808d PCC?

Ok, I'm officially dumb.
I got me a few PCCs for 808/901 batteries similar to this:

The only difference is it's got a nice little LCD with a battery charge indicator.

If I just connect a battery, nothing happens.
If I press the button, the led lights up green and shows the bat charge.
If I press and hold, led starts blinking and goes red, if a ecig batt is connected the led on the battery blinks a few times and then all light and the lcd go out.
I'm guessing it's charging, right?

My old one had 2 leds and would start charging immediately and would light up green when the battery was full.

I'm not aware of any other 808 PCC's available other than the one pictured, have you got a link to the one you're talking about ?

Actually no. Even the shop I got it from has the wrong one pictured.

Well, seems I have to hold the button to start charging. LOL

Thats a Magma 510 PCC. Someone may have changed the connector allowing a kr808 battery to be hooked up.

Basically you just hold the button in until it starts blinking(the LED on the charger, and the one on the battery). It will turn red and then turn off eventually. If you just press the button, it'll light up red, indicating that it is still charging, but it goes off after a few seconds(I guess to save power). The light is never supposed to just stay on. When you hit the button and the light is green, it's done charging.
