It was surprisingly great. But it took me long enough. I think I read here for about 6 - 9 months before I even attempted to try. Everytime I read here I got confused and gave myself a headache. Not to mention I smoked like a nut the whole time I was reading here.

Ordered an ego and some cartridges and cartos (high tech then) 2 bottles of Nuport liquid in 12 & 24 in case I had to mix to get the right strength and a drip tip. Spent about $70 and it changed my life. I knew quitting might be possible although I never intended to quit at all.

Wish I had done it sooner.

I was given an NJoy King for my birthday. It was very harsh and made me cough, but it "felt" enough like a cigarette to inspire me to look into this vaping thing. Then I got a Blu disposable (much smoother but the flavor was "meh") a Green Smoke starter kit (overpriced, juice didn't taste good) and finally a Halo G6. The Halo liquids were excellent and the hardware was good, and that's what finally allowed me to put down the cigs and become a full-time vaper. I'm starting to move into slightly bigger 808-threaded batteries (Triton, e-Smart) but I still use my G6 stuff every day.

2010, bought one of the proprietary cigalike kits that was a 3 piece unit (battery, atomizer, cartridge.) Since the only choices were menthol or non menthol, I chose non menthol (can't stand menthol cigs or juice.) Might as well have gotten my corn cob pipe and loaded it with hay the horses had tromped into the manure filled muck after a rain and smoked it for all the better it tasted.

Still I was determined to vape and not light cigarettes. (Mostly because my partner can't handle cig smoke at all and, I was fed up with having to go outside. At 2.5 to 3 PAD, that was a lot of time going outside in the hot, humid weather we have here.) Next day, I ordered a 510 kit, basically the same but, it had a manual battery and, refillable cartomizers, at least I could pick a flavor. Got three bottles of juice with it, better but still not what I wanted so, I ordered more juice and got the flavors I liked back then (all tobacco flavors.)

That got me off analogs by the end of the first week but, I was still doing it wrong. Then I found ECF, read a few ideas on how to inhale, or not inhale as the case may be and get the most out of vaping, learned to drip on that old 510 too (and to think we have atties just for dripping now.)

Then I got the bright idea that I wanted to be a cloud chaser, so, had to get an ego, 100% VG juice and all. That lasted about a month, just wasn't cutting it and, I was mad so, determined to get it right, and have the best vape I could as soon as I got my tax refund, I got a Provari (It was that or a Darwin and, I still had the "it's gotta at least slightly resemble an analog." thing going on.)

Another month of trial and error to get decent delivery devices for my Provari, and a week after that playing with different juices and different voltage to get a feel for VV vaping I finally had something that beat analogs hands down and, was enough to remove even the temptation to have an analog. Finally, I honestly didn't even want a cigarette.

Now, I don't think "I need a smoke." at all but, I do think "I need my vape but, what do I want to vape, coumarin, fudge, peanut butter, caramel, good old red label, amaretto, mint, almond rocca, vanilla cola, cherry limeade, coffee cream, toasted coconut...?" LOL Takes me five minutes to decide which flavor I want and, if I want to load a tank or drip it.
