Exactly, I've used VV/VW device for over a year and was apprehensive about switching to a device with no control. But the more I thought about it and read, I realized that I always vapped at the same setting. By using a ohm laws calculator you can dial in whatever heat you want just by changing the ohms of your coil. More wraps higher resistance. With the RM2 you'll be dialed into what you like in the first day.

I found with the Reo + RM2 I can go with a much higher wattage than I could with a VV and it's great.

This Reo product seems to be the Definition of "Word of Mouth Advertising" of the highest level too, Pretty impressed so far . !

Steve -

It's really more. When you buy a REO, you're becoming part of a family who's members are dedicated to all the family's success. Never be afraid to ask what you might think is a ridiculous question or let yourself get frustrated. Post and you'll be amazed at the responses. Whatever it is, it's likely something at least some have seen before, probably many times. You have access to the guy who designed and builds these marvels.

Like others, I have a VV/VW PV. I've played with different wattages with different delivery devices and different juices (not a factor for just unflavored nic), and at least for me, I always wind up with it set about the same as for any other.

On the other hand, I have four RM2s for two REO Grands, and it's fun (and inexpensive) to play with different coil resistances in each, but I've found one "go to" resistance I tend to prefer. The others are just fun diversions.

It's this simple: Power = voltage squared divided by resistance. To increase power, you can either increase voltage or reduce resistance... and vice versa.

Hope this helps.

I have to say I have never Researched a Product before that was this well regarded. This is quite remarkable and all the people who own these are very helpful in their advice, makes me feel like as if I do pull the trigger on this Reo Product , I will have the best customer service known to man for a product.

" A complete forum of people who are ready to offer up help and advice " .......and that is a huge comfort to know all this.

Thanks

Steve another vote for just a grand plus RM2 I was a guy who thought VV was a must but now will never own one. With the RM2 you can dial in your coil ohms to give you that VV experience without the fail risks that VV can pose.

I was one of those people that demanded VV/VW. So, I purchased a bottom feeder from another vendor. What I found when it was all done that I had created a point of failure for my vaping pleasure. Within a week, my mod was down due to problems with the chip. 9 weeks later, and two trips to the manufacturer, and I still did not have a working mod. I have since bypassed the chip and have been vaping away on it. So, the question I have to ask is do you want to set yourself up for failure, or set yourself up for success. The mods with a chip are "nice to have" especially in the beginning when you do not really know what you want to vape. They provide a platform for trial and experimentation. Once you find what you want to vape at, you set the Grand up and away you go. And, like the energizer bunny, it keeps on going and going and going. I now have a Grand and the converted mod that is actually a 3.7 V mod with a real switch. I may eventually get another VV/VW in the future for playing, but I will always depend on my Grand.

Great Steve - Go for it! And keep us updated please. Do get an extra spring or two, in case of a short - unlikely if you check out the coil building videos, but still. Maybe an extra post screw or two for the RM2 - they are small and get lost easily. The same for the o ring used to position and seal the RM2 in the catchcup. Don't forget some Kanthal wire and wicking material. And AW IMR 18650 batteries (either 1600mAh or 2000mAh) - 2 at least and charger. Oh, and an extra 6ml bottle or more - for switching juices and as spares.

I planned on getting some extra parts for sure and I really like the look of the RM2 and so will get that as well. the hardest decision now is ...............

What Color to pick .......lol

Thank You !

Steve -

Yeah that (and waiting for delivery) always is the toughest Steve:), but if your choice says out of stock on the web site, just PM http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/members/29299/redeyedancer.html (Rob, owner and inventor of the Reo) and he will sort you out.

My first was the silver veined, essentially a shiny black (80% - 90%). From what I've seen, REOs are typically a bit darker in real life than on the web site. It looks elegant and formal with a shiny stainless drip tip on the RM2.

I'm rough on stuff, and want to carry my Grand in a back pocket with knife and CR123 flashlight on either side, so for my second, I got a tumbled raw aluminum. It looks like it belongs in my toolbox, like a cherished old Zippo lighter, and it's "distressing" nicely. If the rubs and scratches ever bother me, I can just polish them out. No powdercoat to chip and fix.

If what you like is listed as "Out of Stock" PM Rob here (redeyedancer), or contact him via email through the contact form on the web site, with a list of what you want. He can then send you a PayPal invoice to get things rolling. Edit: I see André beat me to it.

Hope this helps.

I asked this question in another area, but someone suggested I inquire hear

How well would a REO Grand handle Vaping 100% VG / Nic ..and nothing else ?

Anyone doing this and are you using your REO product ? Please give your input.

I'm switching over to the 100% VG / Nic and Nothing else and really need a Mod that can handle the duty.

BTW..I get my Nic from Wizard

Steve -

I too vape 100%VG and never have had a problem. It is all better than good!!!

Start off with a Grand. When your ready to buy your second Reo, then you can decide whether the mech is doing everything you need it to or if you need a VV.
Do it!!! :D

I agree ,I was undecided when time came to get my Grand having used regulated VV/VW devices and mechanicals before. Let me say that IMHO there is nothing like the way a mechanical Reo vapes. I see no reason that I need a VV Reo but I have not experience one yet so I speak from ignorance on the subject.
