I listen to the radio during the day and heard those ads several years ago. I did a bit of investigating but the videos I found turned me off. They were dark and kinda creepy looking. About 1 1/2 years ago, I was watching Real Housewives of BH and saw a woman using an ecig at a dinner party. The next day I googled, found what I thought was a decent ecig kit and ordered it. That kit was good enough for my husband and I to know that this would work for us. I'm so glad I watch crap TV :)

My brother in law gave me a disposable one while my wife and I were visiting him 2 weeks ago. We vaped all night indoors cause it was too cold to smoke outside. The next day I went online and researched a bit and found ecf and ordered a Volt kit from Smokeless Image that day. I haven't picked up an analog since that day after being a p.a.d. red smoker for 25 years. Just got an Ego-C kit 4 days ago too. Love them both. Ordered a GLV super mini today and will dig into variable voltage with a Provari next week. Vape on..............:vapor:

I think it was around 2009 i was reading some science journals, and came across the thought of getting a cigarette through a inhaler (much like how the coffee inhaler idea is now). Then i noticed a you tube ad for Electric blue. I thought that was a pretty cool idea, but being a lone wolf did not know a lot of people, let alone know where to ask for that.
Talked in some online chats, and a lot of people talked about it not working and stay away from the idea to quit that way -- but what does not work for a few may work for many...still i put the thoughts on the back burner as i was in Canada.
Then in My travels last year i seen the electric blue in a cash converters where they knew me very well and wanted to show me. I was interested, but again did not know where to get the refills, doing some homework, people said it did not work, sso i side stepped that, and went to a shop where they sold other versions.
The guy there wanted to sell me a cart and a battery for $100, then the charger for another $20, and a weeks worth of carts for another $75 $200 for a starter kit? passed on it
Back in Winnipeg, my wife sent me up the Fuma system as part of a Christmas Present. But the battery died to quick and i was still using the cancer styx
Moved over to the Smoking NV (no nic), and fuma and stink sticks.....got sick...thought there had to be a better way
Met a awesome vaper from here (katmandu) who gave me my first ego set up back in Jan/Feb of this year....i did not really get into it, only half heatedly
But Being stubborn and a gluten for frustration i tried different ways with the ego's....
So there is a story summed up best i can get it :D

My intro to vaping was seeing mass ads for Blu all over the web and hearing cooks at work talk about smoking w/o going outside lol. After trying Blu and getting sick of it I moved up to an eGo-T I later converted back to the regular eGo w/ 510 LR atty and cone which was much better. My setup now is the Omega at 3.7 volts using LR carts and my eGo batteries using eGo vision clearomizers. I am very happy w/ these devices, but I'm looking into higher voltages :)

My husband and I were back and forth about quitting analogs. Then, randomly, he walks in one day with 2 cheap, disposable e-cigs from a gas station. It was cold outside...and I hate going outside to smoke. Plus, I was working in a place where I had to step outside for smoke breaks. I mean...it was COLD outside. lol So, I liked the convenience....then the kits came. I love my impulsive-buyer husband. <3

Saw and heard all the Blu-cig commercials on TV/radio, started checking into e-cigs and bought a vapornine basic kit ($7.95). Once I was able to quit analogs I bought 6 more kits for co-workers/friends. Out of the 6 kits 3 of them are still on e-cigs (2have upgraded as I did). Wish all 6 would've stuck it out but anyone you can get off analogs is a win in my book.

I went out to eat with some friends. One of them was moonlighting at our local concert venue and asked a friend I hadn't seen in a while what she thought about whether e-cigs should be allowed at concerts. This had apparently been a topic of conversation at the venue and they hadn't decided whether it should be allowed. I had never heard of an e-cig, but the friend she asked the question to had apparently been using an e-cig for a while. I was flabbergasted! I thought I was the geeky one who knew all about new fangled devices, yet I was clueless! After doing the research, I decided to give it a try and have never looked back.

Hi :)

I am Kathryn from Scotland UK (Strathclyde). I was a smoker of 20 a day (which I loved and had no intentions of quitting), but two years ago, I was diagnosed with Angina... so I decided to quit smoking.

However, as I loved my smokes (despite getting frostbite during the smoking ban ... standing outside a pub), I wanted a method of giving up cigs, which actually resembled smoking (not patches, gum, inhalator's, spray etc).

It wasn't until I saw a news programme about e-cigs, that I was drawn to try it out for myself. So, I got straight online and began research. I tried a few models/brands until I found which worked best for me. I settled on Vapourium (Now closing for good) as their models and e-liquid (Virginia, Gold and Silver) were excellent. Not cheap BUT great quality and taste. (Some cheaper brand (not Vaporium) liquids I found were a horrible red in colour and tasted vile. Noting that I DON'T do coffee, fruit flavours etc... only tobacco type ones (This is personal choice, despite others advising against them)

My preferred models are 510 Tanks or Leo Tanks (fat ones usually with longer battery life), where I can re-fill disposable or re-usable cartridges with my choice of e-liquid. They last much longer and hold much more liquid.

Like : Two years on: Still vaping, never touched an analogue cigarette since. Better health, Better life!

Dislike: Some places/pubs/venues/airlines etc are now ALSO banning Vaping as well as regular smokes. On a bus trip to Torquay in January, myself and the bus driver had to stand OUTSIDE with the smokers to VAPE. Was NOT allowed to Vape on the bus!!

Worry: If Vaping IS ever outlawed like regular cigarettes in public places, I'll be going back to regular smokes. YES, I HAVE tried patches and just about every other method under the sun, they didn't work for me.
