It began as an impulse buy. I honestly love smoking, but I hate the thought of all the toxic chemicals/tar going into my lungs. I bought an disposable NJoye over the counter at 7-11 and was thoroughly disgusted. Dismissing it as a mistake, I went back to smoking. I eventually noticed a different brand at walgreen's hanging on display - BluCig - it was more expensive - so I thought there was a possibility it would be better - and I was right. It was too expensive to quit with any type of disposables. Blus are $10 each and I was going through 2/day. Not exactly economical. So I started searching which eventually brought me here.
Being new and enthusiastic to the industry, i would like to see more vendors offer disposables to compete with that NJoye brand. If it's happened to me, it's happened to a lot of people. I can see a lot of people trying that brand and walking away forever. Kudos to Blu for getting a superior product out there that people can use as an introduction to the vaping world.

Several month ago, co-workers started showing up in the smoke break area with e-cigs. Each week there were more and more of them. These are diehard smokers, like me, and I was watching them all quit analogs using the e-cigs. No one had fancy ones (I didn't even know there were fancy ones); they were all using gas station kits. But they were working. I took the plunge two weeks ago and bought a Mistic, the only kind my Pilot station had. I quit analogs that day and found this forum. I found an e-cig shop here in Charleston and went there to try out the eGo. I loved the eGo 1100 and bought the starter kit and some juice and have been happily vaping since then. I'm already mixing my own DIY juice and am getting pretty good at it already.

I smoked analogs for 35+ years and the e-cig is the first and only thing that has gotten me off them. That is true for my co-workers as well. We are all health professionals working at a medical center and we had all tried every medical smoking cessation method out there. None of the medical methods worked, but the ecig has worked (so far) for every one of us that has tried them. We cannot recommend them to our patients as a smoking cessation aid yet, but with further study I hope that someday we can as I do believe the ecig is far and away the best smoking cessation aid yet invented.

My mom bought a second-hand crappy automatic e-cig from a co-worker and I gave it a go. I liked it, but it just didn't have enough power. I bought the Ego, got rid of the atty and replaced it with a dual coil cartomizer and after 6 months, I couldn't be more satisfied. I carry four Egos with dual coil cartos around with me at all time, all with different flavors. I'm so addicted. LOL

I got into e-cigs really late in the game, so everyone around me was talking about them. I was tired of feeling the way I did smoking cigarettes, and they were telling me how great they felt. My mom had a starter kit, and she was going on and on about how real they felt and everything, I tried a few puffs off of hers and was amazed. Bought a disposable from a gas station, was not happy with it, but knew there were better one's as the one my mom had was good. So I did a little more research and bought a starter kit, which was just a kit that had pv's the size of a regular cigarette. I have now moved up to an E-power and I love the bigger battery. Getting ready to buy an ego starter kit as well. Haven't touched a cigarette in almost 2 months.

Well it all started with facebook... a friend of mine posted as status " I'm a vapor" (in german of course) an I started google to find out what vapor meant ;) then I thought it might be a good idea starting vaping to avoid smoking too much while starting a diet (new years intents...) so I ordered (a f....ing bad health cigarette) tried - NO! :D then I found a german forum, read read read whole x-Mas and ordered the eGo-C :)
when it had arrived suddenly I recognized not having smoked cigarettes for 2 days :) and I tried out one... huh! bad taste!!!
so I decided for only vaping - btw: I still have not started a diet :) :p but vaping chocolate instead of eating helps as well ;)

Honestly I can't remember why I initially bought one, but I stopped by a couple of times at my local liquor store and he only had menthol each time, which I don't like, and I got lucky when I was in another part of town, and stopped at a different liquor store and they had a Bulldog E-cig that I tried. I smoked it the rest of the day, then went home, rearched (found ECF ) and ordered an ego-c as I could tell this was going to work. The no stinky smell was a big factor for me and it took care of my nicotine craving. I have tried the pills, patches, etc. and it didn't work, but I have not touched an analog since my E-cig venture and have even gone down in my nicotine level. I may not quit this for some time, love the flavors, but I can breathe and smell good. Now if I can just get rid of the smoke smell on everything else around me, which is a work in progress.

Ive bee smoking for 15+ years, I do alot of weight training recently and I just needed something to stop smoking analogs. My friends in the Philippines introduced me to ecigs and with just 1 week of use I can feel the improvement of my breathing. I plan to gradually stop smoking all because of ecigs!

Story is probably like many others, been smoking for too many years and finally decided that it was time. I had looked into e-cigs a few years ago for the wife and myself, but did not take the plunge at that time. The technology sure seems to have come a long way in a short time. A few weeks ago I decided that it was time, so I made the move. I stumble at first, falling into the V2 Cigs trap, despite what I had researched (a lovely story which I'll share some time).

Back to the topic at hand, I fell into vaping because to put it simply, I love smoking....always have. As frequently as I seemed to say to myself "this cigarette tastes like crap", I just love the act/motion of smoking so much I just kept going. Vaping looked like a great option to become healthier, but still allow me to enjoy the parts of smoking that I loved so much. As soon as I tried vaping, I was hooked...haven't looked back. It gives me everything I loved about smoking and allowed me to instantly be broken of the tobacco. I tried to smoke an analog 2 days after I started...just to see. Couldn't even stomach it...wow!

i first saw an ecig at the mall a few years ago...it was like $200, so i (thankfully) declined...i still liked the idea, however. when i went to go buy smokes at the local rez last year, they were selling the exact same type of kit for thirty bucks...decided it was worth trying out. the battery worked for less than 15 minutes, LOL -- but i was SOLD on vaping!

i then joined ECF, asked a thousand questions, ended up buying an ego-t kit from Cignot. loved the (genuine Joye) batteries, hated the atomizer & tanks, but quit that very day. so i bought a bunch of cartomizers, another set of ego-t 1000mah batteries, and i've been LOVIN' it ever since! (and i still use the same batteries!)

I was out at a bar and a lady I was chatting with had one, an older pen style one of some kind with an atty and a cart on it. I tried it, it wasn't great, and watching her fiddle with it all night got me to thinking that someone had to have designed something better than it if the basic idea was workable. I started looking online the next day, found this website, researched, bought a nice kr808d kit with PCC started using it and kept falling off the wagon every time I left my house and my passthrough. Bought more batteries, would still kill them all halfway through a single visit to the coffee shop, much less a night out at the bar, and kept buying cigarettes when that happened. Luckily, at some point durring my on again off again struggles, the technology progressed, batteries got fatter and mods got prettier. My second round of research led me to buy a gogo, and I finally had something that worked reliably and lasted long enough to keep me from buying cigarettes. Still have those gogo batts, used them daily until a few days back when I spoiled myself with a provari.

I was in the back row of a collage creative writing class, and the dude next to me pulled out a mall brand and let me hit it. The teacher was okay with it, but that's creative writting teachers for you lol. That was the moment that planted the idea in my head. About a year later I did a bunch of research and got a riva kit, the rest is history.

Honestly, I thought it was one of the most ridiculous things I had ever seen or heard of. I thought it was a pretend cigarette and I would like it about as much (probably less) than the patch or gum which didn't work for crap, for me. I was a smoker, 25 yrs. pad+. I liked smoking, still like smoking and would still smoke except it was killing me. The idea of not smoking was like some goofy winning the lottery wish. But I was getting pretty desperate with all the wheezing and having kids that I wanted to see grow up and all. So after seeing some Youtube reviews of actual smokers that were able to stop, I figured why not. It's been about two months without an analog and I couldn't be happier about getting over my reservations.

My story is similar to others here. Friend bought me a disposable Njoy on a whim. I had no intention of quitting smoking, but I tried it anyway (Why waste a gift?). Well, I didn't hate it.

The major selling factor at that point was the fact it didn't bother my brother's super sensitive nose, and I didn't have to go outside over at his place to smoke. So I did some research, bought a sidesho and a few 6ml bottles of juice. When it arrived though, I wasn't exactly prepared. I expected it to be better than the disposable one, but not so much that when I ran out of analogs I didn't care. Within a day or two I'd dropped to 2 smokes a day, and in less than a week, when the pack was empty, didn't buy any more.

So that brings me to now. Gathering and collecting various flavors of juice, vaping, and lurking these forums. :p

Heard about them for years from people who'd been pulled in by the Smoke Anywhere guy at the mall. Finally tried one at the booth a couple years ago and it was all around awful. Everything tasted burnt.

About 6 months ago, saw an nJoy kit at the local drug store and decided to give it a shot. After 3 hits the battery shorted out and fried. Returned it and got my money back. Never really got to try it.

About 3 months ago they got Blu disposables and decided to give them a shot. They worked great, but tasted awful. But it sold me on the concept and showed there was decent performance out there now.

So I did a bit of research, and bought a few mods (Provary, Silver Bullet, and a Chinese 6V box mod). Quickly found myself so caught up researching carts, attys, tanks, tips etc that I'd grab a cigarette because it was less of a hassle than trying to figure out which combo would work best. Decided I was overwhelming myself and making things too hard. Saw a couple Youtube reviews of the Volt and Bloog MF (by basilray and GrimmGreen) and since the MF was out of stock at the time, I picked up a Volt.
Loved it and it's all I use now. Bought every sample pack of juice I could get my hands on, and picked a few favorites and I'm letting the others steep to see if any of them get better or if I like them more once my taste starts to come back after I kick the cigs.

I'll probably try the mods again at some point (except the box one, the batteries exploded as it sat in my desk drawer :/ ) just to dial in my favorite juices. But not until I completely kick the analogs. I still have to grab one every once in awhile but I'm much closer to a pack a week than the pack a day I was using before. Gonna step up the nic in the next batch of juice I order (I'm only at 12-16mg) which should help get over those last bumps.

I was talking to my 14 year old son about how I needed to quit smoking and he said,"There's a guy I watch on youtube who uses one of those electronic cigarettes while he does his videos. Have you thought about trying one of those?" I did some research that brought me here and picked up a Joye 510-T.
So, thanks to my kid and some British gamer called OTG, I am happily analog-free now.
