Found this forum while googling electronic cigs. What a great source of info! I just bought a single kit from a post that I saw in the supplier forum and I can't wait to get it and try it out.

I'm a singer and really *shouldn't* smoke, but I enjoy it. I hope that I can switch to ecigs and still get that same enjoyment without harming my voice and the smell. LOL!

Would love any tips from y'all. I'm truly just starting out with ecigs and there seem to be an overwhelming number of options.

A bit about me. My name is Tanya. I'm originally from TX (and still consider it home) but I live in CT for now. As I said before, I'm a singer/musician/songwriter and also the mother of 3 beautiful girls.

Welcome to ecf! Enjoy your new adventure!

You didn't say what you ordered. The suppliers listed on this forum are all great to work with though. When I first decided to try out an e-cig it was with the intention of cutting back on cigarettes, mainly due to how expensive they are. I had given up the idea of quitting smoking many years ago. I was amazed when I discovered that I enjoyed vaping more than smoking and pretty much ended up quitting smoking by accident.

There are a lot of options available out there. It can be overwhelming at first. If you ever come across a problem you can't figure out the solution for, just ask on this forum. There are always plenty of folks willing to help out.

Hi Tanya, i used to be singer/rythym guitar in bands for years. I used to quit smoking every wednesday so my voice would manage the weekends gigs. It worked well except for the fact that every week from wednesday onward i would be like mr.angry. My family would be tip-toeing round so as i wouldn't fly into my next rage.

I've packed up playing live now and just play and record in my spare room purely for my own enjoyment. I find that with e cigs (i have only been on them a week) my voice is stronger and i have more breath than when i was smoking rolling tobacco. But my throat gets a little dry. So my advice to you would be : drink plenty of water. And maybe have a syrup type of lozenge before performance, in the break, and ath end of your night. I think you'll be amazed at the extra lung power quitting cigarettes is going to give you.

As a truck driver I was smokin all day long on the road was getting bad almost 2 packs a day. In NYC it's $13.50 a pack (YES THAT IS THE PRICE) so i started vaping on and off until i found a kit and a way of using it to my liking for ex 2.0lr atty with cartomizer total 25yrs smokin and went down to 1 pack a week using my e-cig. The true craving for a smoke will be there for years its mind over matter and high strength liquid 24mg and above works for me. Just stick with it don't give up !!!!!
