Hello to all! I am a new member, but I'm not new to vaping.
I started off in 06 or 07 sometime, back when the original 510s were about the best there was. I tried 510s and the tornado tank which was an early tank style, and those just weren't good enough. So I got tired of spending money and went back to smoking regular (analog) cigs.
About a year ago I decided to see how far vaping had come and picked up an ego v2 with a kanger protank 2. That setup was decent, but still not the greatest and I still smoked analogs. I broke the ego before long when I was on vacation and ended up buying a Tesla to replace it.
I stuck with the Tesla despite all the comments on how it looked like a dildo, but even that wasn't enough to take the place of my analogs. It didn't take long before I broke the Tesla as well, and I got tired of spending eighty bucks every few weeks on replacement ecigs so I bought an itaste VTR.
The VTR was practically unbreakable, and I still have it to this day, but still not enough. I actually lost it at one time and bought another to replace it. Then I found it, and now I have two itaste VTRs. Still not enough.
Enter my mech mod! A couple of weeks ago a friend of mine turned me on to Fasttech, and when I saw the prices I couldn't help but lunge at the opportunity to spend some more money! I ordered a Sentinel M16 clone and a Zenith v2 RDA. Well as many of you may know Fasttech is in China. The Zenith that I ordered ended up being out of stock, with no expected ship date so I ordered an Infinite Magma clone off ebay, as my M16 mod had already shipped out and I didn't want to sit here staring at it without an RDA.
Now, I'm not a patient man, never have been. My magma came in, looking all kinds of pretty, and shipping still hadn't updated on my M16 clone. So, in my infinite wisdom and whatnot I ebayed myself an hcigar M16 clone in the stainless steel.
So here I sit, vaping cheesecake out of my Infinite Magma clone perched atop my hcigar M16. Holy clouds Batman! I think this is exactly what I have been looking for all these years. The mech mod is a hobby and a habit all rolled into one. The clouds are huge and satisfying, the pull is smooth, and the flavor is unbelievable. There was a time when I thought that a bullet was the only device that might help me quit smoking, but with my mech mod I am hooked, and analogs are out of my life for good.
So there is my introduction and my history with vaping from beginning to present. This tech has come a long way and boy am I glad it did. As a pack and a half menthol smoker I have been destroying my body for a long time, but with this new rig I am confident that I can "kick the ...." for good. No cigarette ever tasted this good, or allowed me to blow out such huge clouds. There is something just too satisfying about lung hitting this badboy and exhaling ridiculous amounts of dense vapor that analogs could never compete with. Plus I got to drop my nic levels to the lowest the store I shop at sells, and the whole setup cost less than a carton of smokes.
So to anyone thinking about buying a mechanical mod, I say DO IT SAFELY! Don't try to go it alone as there is a risk factor involved. Don't use cheap batteries, or batteries that are not rated for the kind of pull that is required. Enlist the help of someone knowledgeable in the area to assist you until you have a really good grasp of what you're doing.
I never wanted to get into coil building as it seems too complicated and way too expensive, but with the high quality clones that are out there these days it's really not that costly, and it's actually not that complicated once you get over your initial shock. And the flavor! To quote a good friend of mine, it's like breathing ice cream...
Thanks for reading my info, and happy vapes to you! Sorry for being so long winded, I'm just too excited to be here...
