i got a pack of phoenix top coil with my order of volt kit

1 of the carts didn't work right off the bat.. when i connect it to battery it causes the led to just blink.. i read that means it's shorted out or something

filled up another cart this morning and was going to use it to replace cigs since was going out for a long day to beach.. 15 minutes into the drive i grabbed it to take some puffs and my hands were covered with juice as it leaked like a ...... battery was dripping and got all over the place.. tossed the dam thing cart out the window and had no vape all day..

trying to cut down / quit smoking but this unreliable stuff is making it difficult..

please please recommend a clearomizer brand/type that actually works good or even works

I don't have the top coil Phoenix yet (order arrived, but I'm not in town to pick them up). You say you grabbed it, was it laying on its side? I know with the fluxos, if they lay on their side too long they can leak thru the cup at the top and then down thru the air tube which would cause what you are describing. I would assume the Phoenix TCs would do the same. I always try to keep them upright.

The bottom coil Phoenix don't care what orientation you hold them in, but I have had a couple of those start to siphon thru and leak out the bottom which becomes pretty messy. I also can't get used to the cool vape of the BCs

no it was actually sitting upright in my cup holder .. slightly tilted but far from laying down.. after i grabbed it and realized it was leaking i was driving 80 mph and didn't really get a close look where it was leaking from i just wanted to get rid of it before it leaked more so i tossed it out the window..

im definitely going to try something else from gv.. i would love to try to vivi nova but i'm not sure if it's made for volt/510 sticks or ego style

Get yourself some Phx bottom coils. They deliver great flavor and vapor and never leak. I bought a box of the Phx top coils and found they leak out of the box. You could try Chris's suggestion with the top Phx top coils by rotating the cup seal so the wick slots are no longer placed directly over the wicks.

I got 1 box of phoenix top coil in 808 and had the similar experience as Silversx. Leaks through the center post even when sitting upright. I think it's caused by over wicking so I'm adjusting the center plug to see if it helps. I also have 1 box of bottom coil Phoenix in 808. First one I tried has a short in it as described by Silversx. It killed my Riva battery by trying to use it. The short only comes when I tighten the cart down. If I back it up half a turn then the cart will work but loose. I'm now testing each one with a simple box mod and a meter prior to filling as a precaution. I think we have some QC issues here.

i think my volt battery has built in short protection thats why the led started blinking when the bad cart was put on and i pressed the button.. but yeah i think i will have to try some other stuff.. i hope dan o man can replace my two busted top coil phoenixes but not like i have much faith in these carts right now

I'm a pack rat, so I save everything. Before I toss a carto, I strip all reusable parts out of it and save them. I found some middle rings from CE2s from 3 or 4 versions ago. The white ones with the tapered center hole. I've been inserting the ring on top of the cup seal, before inserting the drip tip, on the Phoenix top coils, and they have been working perfectly. No leaks. No condensation in the mouth. In one of the videos, it appeared that these rings were in some of the prototypes. I wonder why they weren't installed in the final release.

I've always liked the vision grande's if the volt really is a 510 threading I would try them if your looking for something smaller certainly go with the fluxomizers past that maybe a dct. My friend used them exclusively when he was vaping and loved them.

The smokeless image volt is 808 threaded

I believe the Volt that is being discussed is this one ;)

GotVapes Vision VOLT Karma - 450mah Fat 510 Stick Style - CHROME [gv-VOLTKarmaKit-Chrome] - $42.95 : GotVapes.com, E-cigarette Supplies - Atomizers Cartomizers Mods Juice and more

It is a 510 connection, and +1 to the visions....any of them really.
