I just ordered a 5v 510 pass-through from MadVapes. It'll be my first device that runs higher than 3.7v.

But, now I just realized that I only have regular and low resistance 510 attys.

I know that I can't run the LR attys on the 5v device, but can I run the standard resistance attys? I'm pretty sure that they run at 2.2 ohms. I'll test them when I get home to make sure.

Looking at the Liberty-Flights site, I see that they sell 510 attys specifically for 5v devices, and those are 4.0 ohms. That's a big difference from the 2.2.

Can I use my 2.2 ohm attys? Or, should I order some HR attys to use with the 5v pass-through?

I've run my 2.4 omh atty's for almost 5 months on my 5VT direct PT without a problem if it happens to be the atty I'm using at the moment but they do get hot fast and you do have to pay attention and let them cool down. Do suggest that you do pick up some higher omh atty's for the 5 VT PT for the majority of your vaping time with it. My 3.5 omh attys work very well on it.

I've always just used my standard resistance attys with my 5V PT's and haven't had any problems. Like JD1 posted, you'll have to adjust the length of time you hold down the button for your draw. I think I hold mine down just a couple of seconds and I get loads of warm, delicious vapor. I've also used 3.0ohm CE2 cartomizers on them, but I've had mixed results with those. Sometimes they work fine and other times the juice tastes burnt. You'll just have to experiment to see which works best for you.
