As it only took Ninja 4 days to quit smoking, it took me much longer.
I was six months into vaping before I quit smoking. I got a VTR, I figured as much as I paid for it, I couldn't afford to be smoking and I quit! Yes, I'm a Quitter! And Damn Proud if it!
January 11, 2013!

Congrats . . .

The thing is for "ME" - After 4+ year at this - I'm still a dual user, especially since I haven't found any "E-Liquid" that satisfies "My" urges yet . . . I really dislike Food/Drink/Candy Flavors (especially since I'm a Diabetic and have issues with what sweeteners/Sugar substitutes that are added) and all the Menthol ones I tried are not what I consider a "True Menthol Tobacco" flavor . . . So the hunt continues . . . Thankfully - there are a couple of "E-Liquids" I can stand, but they are Tank crackers . . . Also, I just got some WTA (Thanks @AndriaD for that info) that I am trying now along with a few other samples of a Tobacco "E-liquid" (thanks to @Katdarling) to mix with "Menthol Crystal Liquid" & "Kolada" . . . Hopefully, one of these might become that elusive ADV I been looking for to actually be a Full-Time Vapor . . . Just Sayin' . . . ;)

CONGRATULATIONS - I am very happy for "YOU" and glad to read that Ya' were able to do it as easily as "You" did . . . But - Just remember everyone journey is different and not as easily done . . . Just Sayin' . . . ;)

Oh there wasn't anything easy about it....lol
I was always a very, very active person but after 40 I noticed a serious drop in my conditioning and stamina due to smoking.
I want to be able to keep up with my son, so I really had no choice. :)
Ive tried everything from gum to Wellbutrin, to early cig a likes and nothing worked. The next generation of e cigs DID work and with a short struggle and a few nicotine headaches from 28mg juice I quit smoking cigs forever.

Lmaooo...I keep telling you, I have NEVER fluffed a turtle!!!

It's okay..... I don't judge.

Being a smoker for over 46 + Years at 2-4 PAD depending on "My" moods - It's been the same for "Me" Transitioning into the Vaping World and something I have mentioned from the start of "My" Journey here - I AM ADDICTED to Smoking Cigarettes and the Habits - Psychologically, Emotionally, & Physically . . . The worse part is, I am also a counselor in "Human Behaviour Modification" (only as a volunteer now) and work with people on how to cope with the major changes they face in LIfe . . .

Yep -- willpower is a great thing to have, but the brain wants what it wants, with just a little "wiggle room" -- I've been able to substitute vaping for smoking really well, but i still need those physical sensations -- the sucking-with-resistance when I take a draw, the throat hit; i think the switching from tobacco to sweet vapes has been because the only reason I ever tolerated the taste of cigarettes was because they basically put my tastebuds into a coma -- once they started coming back to life, tobacco tasted as nasty as it did when I first started smoking. When I quit drinking, what helped the most was drinking V8 juice from an ice-cold can -- V8 isn't sweet (like beer isn't sweet), and the ice-cold can gave me some of the same tactile feedback.

BTW: I also have suffered Allergies and Asthma, since childhood - however I know it is hard for some people to believe, but "Smoking" actually helped "Me" by camouflaging those problems . . .

I believe it!! I had FAR less trouble with my asthma when I smoked, unless I had a cold -- then it was like a mucus free-for-all, but I didn't have nearly as much wheezing and feeling breathless, even with all that crud in my lungs. All that congestion in the lungs actually made it easier to cough; now, if I feel there's something in there that needs to come out, it takes a MIGHTY effort to get it out, and i spend a lot of time feeling like I have a cinderblock laying on my chest. I think it's because of a) the theobromine they add to cigarette tobacco, and b) the "topical anesthetic" agents they use to make the smoke 'smoother' -- I might have had just as many if not more problems, but I didn't *feel* them so much.

I was a dual user for 4 of the 5 years I've been vaping, but I finally kicked it to the curb just a little over a year ago. Be proud of the ones you don't smoke! Hoping the WTA helps you :)

When I got my first mod I had 2 and a half packs of smokes and I figured I would do both.
After vaping for a few hours I tried to have a smoke and it was like trying to take a hit of a branch I pull out of a camp fire and it tasted like crap.
I haven't touched a smoke since that first day I got my first mod :)

I did it backwards :p
I quit smoking, was off em for about 2 years, then I had a spike in stress levels (new job dealing with addicts, many of whom smoke) and started wanting a smoke. Picked up an ego pen instead, the rest is history.
Sent with one hand, the other is busy vaping.

I quit on a whim, a spontaneous decision when I was buying 3 cartons of cigs... and picked up a cheap blister pack and a bottle of gas station quality juice... January 8, 2015. I took 2 cartons back and bought more juice and blister packs of CE 5 vape pens. 12 days later I took 4 of the last 5 unopened packs back and told the clerk to give them away to whomever smoked that brand. The last pack is sitting in my kitchen cabinet in the back...unopened.

BTW-fewer posts than normal does not mean I love any of my ECF friends or Innokin less. It means I am headed home and I have a tenny tinny phone that is hard to type on and I accidentally packed the tablet .
Have a safe trip!

I was dual use for a real short period, like a week. As soon as I found myself puffing on the vape while I was out smoking a cigarette I decided to just drop the cigs. I still have the last cig from my last pack and am now 8 months smoke free.
 That's a good one there :)

That's why I said "right now" and not "ever" ;)
I think that contest used up all of my luck.... Thought leaving the most expensive prizes up for grabs would help my karma......
Replied like a true politician!:lol:....Tis the season!;)
