Seems I have just read about six pages of people consoling @bwh79 who seems to have a positive attitude about the cancer, yet several posters seem to be doing the "woe is you" routine and it makes me wonder how many people do not understand about a positive mental attitude.

Robin, this is good, and I only used your post here because it reflects most of the other folks, but it needs a step further. Anyone who is bothering to read this post, close your eyes (after you've read it ) and imagine a beach of white sand. You walk down this beautiful beach and suddenly notice, of the billions of grains of white, there is one grain of black sand. Suddenly you know this is not a white beach after all. You will start to notice more and more grains of black sand until you absolutely know, in your mind, this beach is not white! Now, substitute the white sand for positive thoughts and the black sand as negative thoughts, which include doubts - even the tiniest of doubts. In order to effect positive changes in our lives, or the lives of those we care about, such as bwh79, we must eliminate all negativity. 100% positive, with no doubts does work! It has saved my .... through many life issues. Doubt (ANY doubt) implies that you do not believe it will work, which is another way of asking the Universe to make that negative thing happen. No, we are not God, but we do have the power to affect the outcome of most of the events in our lives. So will all the nay-sayers please stand down and bwh79, the rest of us send you only positive thoughts to reinforce your own. You're going to recover! The process is started. See it through and MAKE it happen.

I agree...positive thinking brings positive results. I am a huge believer of the power of the mind and the strength we have within our own thoughts . I tell my big sister this constantly. She has a very bad case of Lyme disease and brings bad energy to herself .. she don't believe me. You have to bring positive energy into your life -then watch the bright results. It's true .

I just think it's a self-fulfilling prophecy when you sit down and start feeling sorry for yourself. Better to think about ways to fix it, than to waste time wallowing in it, or even playing "victim" (those drive me nuts). Hard to convince some people though...
