I was hoping you would be one of the winners. congrats!!!
We're not sure yet, but I think my son may be on that list...waiting on confirmation email..... @Kprthevapr spotted it before I did!!!
That would be so amazing! Fingers crossed! !
Congrats to today's winners. I still don't see my name on the list, so I guess they are just saving the best for last :)

I got a "port" today, and then tomorrow, I start chemotherapy. The port is a semi-permanent implant that goes in my chest, with a line that runs underneath the clavicle and hooks into my bloodstream just above the heart, and functions as an alternate IV so they can give me large amounts of fluid, without blowing out a vein. So whenever they need to give me anything (saline, chemo, or I guess blood transfusions are something I'll be getting a lot of, maybe), or all the blood draws they've been and presumably will need to keep taking each morning, they won't have to stab me in the arm anymore, they'll just access the port with a "special" needle and do it through there. One step closer to becoming Borg, I suppose. I will be assimilated, resistance is futile.

I say "semi-permanent" because apparently they're good for up to twenty years before they have to be taken back out. They say I'll have mine in until I've been in remission for at least a year or two. They will teach me how to access it myself at home, and once a month I'll have to flush it out with a special solution so the blood doesn't clot up around it and close it off. Sounds like a blast... :)

...More prayers and healing energy for you this night...

If you have family or friends that can bring you things I have a recipe that is great during chemo. It was the only thing I could keep down.

Also everyone will tell you... Do not attempt to eat any of your favorite foods while on chemo or you will never like them again. Your taste buds will cease to exist and honestly your mouth maybe to fill of sores to really eat. I found comfort in knowing what to expect. Drs do not have to tell you about side effects if they think it will keep you from doing treatment. There are lots of little tricks to weathering chemo. I hope they have told you what to expect. What is your cocktail and what's your schedule are you like 3 on 1 off?

Ports blahhhh. Lol. I was lucky and able to make a deal with my onc that if i tolerated 4 in my vein then no port. I call my chemo arm my iron arm lol. It made it thru treatment but it doesn't like any post surgery ...... anymore lol.

I was dx at the age of 29... I officially became a thriver this past January. Take it easy. Hang in there. Pm me of you need anything including that recipe.
Yeah you can go ahead and PM me the recipe, could be worth a shot at least. Not sure exactly what the schedule is going to be yet, I've heard different things from different people. It's either 7 days of one treatment then 3 days of another, couple weeks recovery, and then a few 3-day treatments spaced out over the next several weeks, or it will be several cycles of 1 week on and two weeks off. I guess when they start tomorrow they will tell me for sure exactly how it's going down. Until then, I'm just glad the Mrs. is able to stay here with me, tonight. I got to feeling pretty sorry for myself being all alone here for the last couple of nights, even if I did have visitors during the daytime.

Bwh74, if I could take it all away and make everything better for you, I would do it in a heartbeat. I am so glad you have your wife with you. Bless you both.

We are gonna have to Install an AC pretty soon ;)

@Uncle Never have been a Soda person or much for Sweet. Loved my Sugar with Coffee though and cut waayyyyyy down on that. Used to use 3 tsp in a cup now only use 1/4 in 1 cup, Monitor my sugar levels everyday and watch carbs and such just the way doc has told me to. Just not quite as active anymore since I don't leave my mom alone and she does not care to go anywhere. Have almost lost her 3 times where she was fine one minute and I was calling ambulance the next with her throwing up blood. It's all good though I am happy with my total 20lb loss so far ;)

Glad your wife can be with you, my dad went through similar to yourself 5 years ago and everything has turned out great but I have no doubts that his positive attitude played a big part. Last month he and mum celebrated their diamond wedding anniversary 60 years and he is doing absolutely great. The treatments available have came a long way but keep a positive mind. Best wishes

For those who havent received their Disruptors yet, dont despair.

Im a round three winner and noticed a few people who won in the same round had already gotten theirs.

Fearing I had given the wrong address or that there had been a snafu of sorts, I contacted InnokinAsh who referred me to Joanna@Innokin.com.

She contacted me within 24 hours to let me know that the delay was due to them being out of blue Innocell batteries. She then assured me that they had gotten some in and that I should be receiving UPS notification of delivery this week.

Hats off to both InnokinAsh and Joanna! Great communication from both throughout even though they have to be swamped with their normal volume of work plus all the new contest winners.

So a random thought.

I know this sounds silly but I feel guilty about vaping at times. I don't smoke. Never did. I don't use nicotine. I just vape for flavor making clouds and its kinda fun. But I still feel guilty. Like I am taking products from people who need them. Sometimes it makes me feel bad.

I even go through binge purge cycles. Done it three times. I'll buy a bunch of awesome stuff. Feel happy. Then feel like I am wasting money and am a bad person and then I sell everything. I don't know. I guess I am just being silly.

I'm down to almost no nicotine now, could probably quit if I wanted to, but I like vaping better than I ever liked smoking, don't feel bad there's tonnes of vapers out there that do 0 nic.

I tried to figure out from the time when people won to the time they posted pics online and I Think,
it's safe to say most winners had their Disrupter mailed out or received them in around 2 weeks of the day they won.
Does that seem about right to you people that won?

I received mine just about a week after I won. Seems like for many, it took longer.
