So was I what we have available now isn't true temp control.... It's applied voltage control based on resistance..... It happens to work, but will never be truly accurate.... Variations in wire, innate atty resistance un-factored etc.... True tc is coming though, I'm sure of it

There is a post to Innokin's TC mod on here a few (hundred??) pages back. It looks like it will be true TC, and it will fire all of the metals. Now I am excited about THAT mod!!

Can't wait to see definitively how they measure temp..... All we know for sure is it's not via resistances

Time/level of power used and how long it runs for then calculate the temp perhaps?

I think measuring resistance would be better than that. The amount of airflow would change the power required to keep it at temp. Measuring resistance change is pretty accurate, it's just the current chips aren't fast enough to hold it perfectly steady. They work, but they aren't updating as fast as they could. Maybe I'm wrong though, in not an electrical engineer or anything.

No...too many other factors like wick saturation, airflow etc that would make that highly inaccurate.... We know some type of sensor is being used by one of the videos.... We just don't know what type, placement, or how it connects to the mod

Thanks sweetie! Its worth a lot to me believe it or not. Too often people today look for disposable instead of dependable and it makes me crazy. And when it comes to my husband's rough and tumble job durability is a must!!

We have come to be a disposable society, and I've been working to participate much less in that. I have made changes to my lifestyle that include eliminating the purchase of disposable (and new) items as much as is possible. Re-use, repair, recycle. Disposable vape devices have been a poor fit in that lifestyle, but I, like others who have posted here, worry about the genuineness (and therefore safety and effectiveness) of batteries meant for non-disposable mods, so I use disposable mods from names I have come to trust. So I like the direction this is headed! I hope we will see more devices like the Disrupter with replaceable batteries from trustworthy sources

Hey everyone how goes it? Technically its monday ahem! I have decided that since i have waited so patiently to see who the winners are that if i dont win i will order something nice for myself. lol. I already have a VV3 and 2 CF4, im thinking about a VV4. I like using my vv3 in the morning with a cisco but its been dying before the end of a session..like after six puffs. I also think i might take a good hard long look at the Isubs. I saw there are some Pa ers here! HI from Pa! Well back to lurking and fantasizing about winning!
