Thank you for explaining... I suppose since I have been following this thread since close to its inception I just got frustrated.
Many have posted some not-so-nice things and it is unfair to Innokin who have been so generous and ECF who took upon so much extra work and the winners who should not be made to feel badly because they won. (The majority of whom would be happy for others even if they had not won themselves.)

Many of us here talk daily with or without a contest. We feel like family. We are just happy to see something happy happen to one another.
When I saw a couple of the names on the quick draw winners lists (well before my own) I was thrilled as if it was my own.. maybe even more.
A few others.. I was just thrilled that they would no longer be whining about it.

(And that ^^^ was the big pink Elephant in the room

Sorry if I have offended anyone, I didn't mean to. I never wanted to sound rude or self entitled. I don't think it's unfair that it's open to the public, I just didn't know and it bummed me out. That's all.

How did people not know? When you entered it asked you to share on social media. How could you not realize people would do so and others would enter? I don't get that.

I was just gonna post that. Maybe they haven't gotten/checked their email yet. Honestly, when I first came on here, I thought this was just a thread announcing the contest - I had no idea all this other stuff was going on. If I hadn't started getting envious of the early ones that were getting posted elsewhere and asking around, I never would've come here. Glad I did, cuz you guys have been A LOT of fun and I NEVER would've won one outside of the quick fires.

If I won one I would be like I would be shouting out to everyone, no secrets here.

Well as I have said previously I don't do social media. And I had figured that they would at the very least have to become a member here to get an ECF branded mod.

I thought all the sharing was to get more people here, which in turn they could enter to win a cool mod.

I don't do social media either, but when they asked entrants to share it on facebook it was pretty easy to deduce the end result.

It clearly stated to share your own personal link to earn points and get others to enter.

I don't know how it could have been more clear.

Well as I have said previously I don't do social media. And I had figured that they would at the very least have to become a member here to get an ECF branded mod.

One like on facebook could end up leading to millions, not that that happened in this case, when something goes viral its pretty crazy the amount of people it reaches.

Actually, I mistakenly thought there were 400 reserved for EFC to distribute.
My mistake, but one that was made.

As to give away's, I'm from the Car Audio side of things(for many years) I've seen Manufacturers give away Tens of Thousands in Gear.
So, yes, mistakes can be made.

That's why when I found out about the quick draws, I made sure to follow the thread and enter. Since the quick draw entries were limited to ECF members and only those who bothered to follow and post in the thread, I figured my chances of winning one was better.....and it was.
