Huge learning curve!

I have read so much and spent so much money! But if I can get off analogs forever it is worth it. I had to go back to tobacco the last three days (felt awful) because I fried two blu atomizers faster than I expected, and had no back up plan.

Now I am back to vaping, I hope forever, if I can keep everything functioning.

I alternate between feeling like an idiot for spending so much money, and feeling ecstatic about finding an alternative to tobacco.

All the model numbers keep swimming through my head, this site is overwhelming.

I really hope to get smarter about it all soon.

At least I have a functioning e-cig tonight.

I hear you! I keep thinking about the money myself, but then I think what is my life worth? What will it be worth to play ball with my grandchildren when that time comes? At the rate I was going, that would not have been a possibility.

Then to add insult to injury I bought and Ego 3 weeks ago with the 650 mah batteries, for $78, and now I see I can get the same one with the 900 mah batteries a little cheaper now.

But if I waited til now I wouldn`t be breathing as good as I am already!

Hi Normadesmondtutu! (can I just use Norm or Norma?)

Don't sweat the analog use! and the cost!!

Find a pace that's right for you and just keep vaping! Above all, get rid of the stress and guilt, have fun, and enjoy your journey.

If you do it from day one, great!! But know that if you just stay the course and put more distance between you and analogs, quitting will come naturally. Imo, most people on ecigs have quit this way.

Anyways, it's way more fun without pressure and guilt!

Welcome. Yeah, lots "over bought" in the beginning but the price of admission is worth it no matter how you look at it. It is our lives we are saving.. and you'll save a ton of money down the line. Stock up on supplies as you can, a piece here, a piece there. Lots to read and learn here. Congratulations

I'M RIGHT HERE
in a month that is 210 bux i used to spend on analogs. so when i started my vape trip, i told myself. if i cannot vape for less than that amount then i would go back to analog's.
well it's been over a year now, the first 3 months i tried to spend what i spent per month on analogs, was easy at first , lots of juice, atty's, batt's, and vape device's. now my closet is full, i will vape the next year or more with no further cost to me.

Been vaping since Feb of this year and yes, at first I thought about how much money I was spending with this new adventure....The first 2 months I spent a lot of money for extra batteries, attys, and of course the juice....Now, I have about 3-4 good flavors that I like a lot and have plenty of attys and the extra batteries are great...So for these last two months, I have not hardly paid anything at all....Compare this to about $45.00 per week for cigarettes over this same time period and I am way a head now...Not to mention, feeling a lot better health wise....Enjoy...

Thanks for all your comments, everyone. You helped me calm down about all the money I've spent! And ultimately I do feel it's worth whatever it takes. I feel confident I can quit tobacco with this method. When I had to go back to analogs they were NOT satisfying and I missed the nice clean vapor taste.

And I will definitely have lots of spare parts around, so I don't have to backtrack again!

I know what your talkin about.

When I was just researching e-cigarettes there is so much information, mods, juice blends, accessories, that it would make you head spin. Then I finally just bought something and things started coming together quickly.

Of course, being a guy, I had to buy extra stuff right off the bat. It's only been two weeks and I have placed and received 5 orders.

I have spent about as much as 2 months of analogs, but I don't regret it at all. I enjoy vaping more than smoking and I feel better for doing it. The up front cost vs long term is worth it.

Enjoy the journey

My problem was I didn't want to spend much money so I just got a kit. I came to learn that I needed more stuff (car adaptor, USB passthrough, more juice, cartomizers for when I'm on the road). I was trying to save money and probably spent $30.00 on shipping! Anyway, I'm almost to the point where I can just stock up on juice and attys, and a few spare batts, and order everything at once before I need it. Definite learning curve.

Good luck!

I was lucky. I got turned on to this forum before I bought my first pv. Still, it took a couple of weeks for me to get really comfortable with the equipment, juices, cart mods, etc. The point is I did get comfortable with the whole thing in a couple of weeks. I dropped cigarettes within the first week or so.

Now I'm real comfortable with my eGo, juices, backups, etc. now that I'm 13 weeks in. You'll get there too. The initial hassles are worth it.

When I smoked, I was spending between $175 and $200 a month on analogs. So when I got into vape-ing I told myself that even if I spent $150 a month buying starter kits until I found one that work, I was saving money.

So I did. I bought, in this order: Blu, RN4081, KR808, Joye 510, Janty eGo

Don’t get too freaked out by all the model numbers and tech talk. You find what your looking for here.

You mentioned that you have a Blu. The Blu was my first e-Cig. I loved the size and the look of it. But the battery life was terrible and the carts only lasted me like 15 hits.

Do yourself a favor and do some research about a 510 or and eGo. It is 10x the e-Cig of a Blu and I realy think you would like it. I had to buy 4 e-Cig before I got to the eGo.

I wish I had known then what I know now. It would have saved me a bunch of Money. Should have bought the eGo first.

I'm glad to know I"m not the only one going through this learning process and spending plenty.

zoi, I am still using my blu with a little better success now that I have a 306 (I think!) atomizer on it, it seems to be working better. Although, yes, battery life is short.

In my panic back on anologs, I also ordered a sidesho which has been working well so far. I still have tons of experimenting to do with cart filling, have yet to replace filler in a cart...on and on it goes...

But I haven't wanted or smoked an analog since my new stuff came in, so it's all to the good. And as much as I do worry about the spending, I know in the long run it will work out.

Can't say I've found the perfect fit for me yet with the e-cig, but know I won't go back to analogs till I find it.

Vaping is SO MUCH MORE ENJOYABLE than smoking!
