Okay, as strange as this sounds, when I get hungry (when my blood sugar drops too low), I get this annoying and almost painful "empty" feeling in my chest. Literally, right behind and beneath my collar bone. I know it's probably pretty unique to me, since when I grab my chest and say, "God, I'm getting hungry," everyone always looks at me like I'm weird.

What I've noticed is that I chain vape when I'm watching TV or a BluRay movie. I mean, I'm taking a hit every 20 or 30 seconds, and topping off as I go. After an hour or so of doing that, I get that same "empty" feeling in my chest like I'm hungry. I usually ignore it, but it's gotten more pronounced. So the last time it happened (two hours after eating a huge plate of spaghetti), I grabbed a bag of Doritos and downed them, and it went away.

Anyone else out there experiencing anything similar? Or am I just a weirdo?

I have noticed that I do get hungry more often while vaping. I'm used to the cigs and coffee diet that I've been on since I was a teenager (so not healthy). I'm actually eating breakfast now which has always been skipped in my life.

That pain you get in your chest from being hungry sounds like an acid reflux thing.
Same here. I'm eating breakfast again, haven't done that in 20 years.

starving here....................I used to smoke myself stupid during the day to stop my hunger pains as I love my food, so vaping is not helping as much, but I think it's a great idea to eat breakfast..will have to try that.......think one has to now eat small amounts at regular hours..
my stomach grumbles all the time..................it only stopped(until the next day)with say a prawn cocktail to start, followed by a quick ciggy break then a filet steak with all the trimmings:p..followed by a ciggy, then a delicious baked alaska dripping in alcohol............the meal washed down with good wines........followed by a huge brandy and coffee and hundreds of lovely analogs:cry::cry: :cry:

So since Last Wednesday.............not one analog, no drink at all..did have duck last night......................8-o8-o......no where is my 501......

Lots of people gain weight when quitting smoking. If you are not getting quite enough nicotine, it could be part of why you feel hungry. Eat healthy and you'll be fine. I am keeping a lot of salads and fruit around and also will be beefing up my nic content a little soon.

Hopefully then I can put the stupid analogs away.

I eat a lot more now and it seems like I am always hungry. Funny thing is that I lost some weight since I started vaping. I use a 510(sorry to correct you but its a 510 not 501) also and love the thing. The chest thing sounds like acid reflux to me also but I'm no doctor. As far as the drinking goes, I love to vape and drink although my wife has noticed I drink less now.

The issue is when you start vaping, your body acts like that of a newly ended smoker. You're getting your appetite back. First few weeks I ate like a pig.

Not getting 1000 chemicals in your body daily, it's returning to normal. It's not the nicotine or Propolene Glycol in the e-cig that's bad. It's the rest of the crap in the smoke of analogs.

I notice that my food now tastes better.

I went through the majority of my changes in the first 4 days excluding the antsy part (that took a few days longer). I wasn't really hungry, more like I wanted something but didn't know what it was. I'd look in the frig, but always ended up walking away not taking anything. I finally just told myself it was time to eat so I'd eat rather I wanted anything or not. That passed and now everything is pretty normal.
