Greetings folks!
I stumbled on ECF while I was hunting about for more information on vaporizers, so as to help a local friend handle his questions, after some dealings with an unsavory shop with a habit of saying lies about things. (Two off the top of my head would be 'Oh, these e-cig's with our logo on them? Yeah, those are genuine Ego's. .. What type? Ego, they don't make any other models, duh.', and 'Look, since there's no smoke, they're perfectly safe and non-addictive, even with a 24mg nicotine level.')
So yeah, here I am, because ECF helped me find answers to a -lot- of their questions! Thanks folks on that.
Now though, I have to also grumble at you folks. You've reignited a curiosity I've had since I was in my early teens about smoking, or more, my hunt for a safer alternative. I've been looking off and on for a method for a long while, and it looks like I've now found one. (One good point for that local shop was the ability to try a single sample on one of the ego-clones there.)
Now, I've -never- smoked anything, of any sort, and using that vaporizer a week ago with some no-nicotine blend was the closest so far. And I really, really liked it. I'm sure I may get advised both directions (to start because it's fairly safe, to not start because we don't know what unfound risks there are), but I'm definitely going to be picking up a vaporizer.. .. maybe two.. maybe more. ^-^ Depends entirely on the amount of funds I can get towards this over the next few months.
My question is on the vaporizers. Namely, Ego Twist clones and Vision Spinner Clones. (which I may be under the false impression is already a clone of the Ego Twist?)
Through this forum, I found myself pointed over at fasttech.com's stuff, but I'm curious on what sort of quality control can I expect? I know this may sound sad, but for me, a $20 purchase is actually a 'big investment'. That'd be for a 1100mah Variable Voltage + CE5 clearomizer/tank.. little less than that, but still. I don't mind at all waiting 30-40 days for things to arrive, I just have a need of having it work.. and since any funds I drop in is hard gotten, I can't really afford to keep replacing it on a regular basis.
My -absolute- upper spending limit though is $30. Any more, and I can't really afford to get any liquids.
Does anyone have suggestions on other specific places and models I should give a look at, to pick up something that has (A) 900+ mah variable voltage battery, and (B) a repairable tank+atomizer, in that price range, and still is cylindrical? (To forestall urgings to grab a used MVP. They're just.. I don't like the look at all, for me. ^_^) For that matter, that has at least a few day warranty, so I can be reasonably sure that what I put money out for will actually work?
Perhaps any specific folks in the vendor forums I should be checking out?
Anyhow, thanks for the time folks!
