Hyped up juice or vaping gear that was a disappointment?

Oh yeah - I forgot. I did once get a few fasttech Ego batteries that were like $4.
They crapped out after a couple months, tops. I've got other, better ones still running fine that are well over a year old.

(On the other hand, I have been overall very pleased with fasttech purchases - tons of drip tips, even an Innokin (yes, legit) SVD, etc. They do sell crappy copies of stuff, but they don't LIE and claim it's brand - ie: if it says "Authentic Kanger" then it really is.)

The Magma is my absolute favourite!! It's the one RDA that I really couldn't find anything I disliked about it. The flavour is on point and I think it looks awesome on my copper Pegasus.

Agreed on the Magma, fantastic dripper. Have you tried out the Freakshow RDA (Wotofo), it looks to be a Magma with more airflow and less unscrewing for refilling. I was trying to get them to send me a free one...
On a related note I did ask them to change the design on the sleeve to enable single coil operation, they decided to take my idea onboard and now the newer versions have the feature. :)

I have a freakshow, and a lancia. Both have airflow underneath the coils. And both are far superior to the Magma.

everything from Killer-Juice ... I was one who fell for a bunch of those cheap sales.

I bought several dozen bottles ... all were weak on actual flavour, and very peppery tasting.

I would not even be comfortable to PIF this liquid.

I ordered 2 bottles of Peppermint Candy and 2 bottles of Dr Pepper and wasn't happy with either of them. The Peppermint Candy is ok after letting it breathe for awhile, but had a chemical taste to it before then. The Dr Pepper was unvapable for me, and I like Dr Pepper. It had that peppery taste you mentioned, and just didn't taste anything like Dr Pepper to me. I literally just dumped out a 15ml bottle of it so I could use the bottle for some DIY juice.

Kayfun/Russian - For me, they're just a bit too much WORK to keep them running right. Sometimes the wicking is so-so, and you can't easily rebuild or re-wick. Sometimes they lose vacuum, and when they do the leaking is a huge mess...

IkenVape's "Nitro" cartos. Unlike everyone else here, I DO like cartotanks! I just need the right combination (a carto that wicks like a demon and isn't TOO tight, and a superb airtight tank). IkenVape Platinums were the best carto - then they got a bad batch. Then they replaced them with a new product - the Nitro line. And I HATE those. Never got a single one working properly. There's now a "new version of the old ones" - I'm debating whether to get some or not...

yeah, i'm finding the same with the russian i just got. plus, it goes through juice so fast that having the tank is barely worth it for the trouble it takes to refill it.

and double yeah, ikv...used to be king. then the last order of stuff i got from them was all so-so. (About a year ago?)

i'm eyeing the Manta RDA. It's hard to find flavor oriented two post drippers these days.

I've seen some modifications to the magma i'm considering, either sticking 10g hypodermics in the air holes, to raise them above the deck and prevent condensing juice going down into them. or, machining/dremeling the flat deck by the air holes to a slope so the condensed juice flows back down into the well.

the needles would be easier, and i've already got the airflow cranked to the absolute minimum...

The Lemo. It's OK, nothing to write home to grandma about.

I was kind of upset when I saw Rip Trippers new review of the Billow RTA. He didn't build it correctly, and then said that it wasn't as flavorful as the Lemo. I am surprised he didn't flood his deck, since he left 2 of the 4 juice channels wide open with no coil or wick there. He got it wrong, Billow is a much better design.

While I like Boba's, I've had e-liquids that I've enjoyed much more. It's certainly a good vape (for me) on a dripper, but it didn't wow me as much as it has other folks.

I hate the stock Kanger coils in their tanks, I rebuild mine now so the flavour is better but still gurgles like a madman

Try a tad more wick, or bumping the power a hair. Even though I use rebuildables 75% of the time, I still like my Kangers. Or maybe it's nostalgia, because I quit smoking with the PT2s.

When it comes to disappointment in juice, for me it would be Nicoticket. I had ordered the Custard's Last Stand and Strawnilla a month or two ago, and although they weren't bad at all, for me they didn't live up to the hype. I know many people love their juices, but for me...they were just ok. Maybe my expectations were too high?

Funny, I actually ordered cherry and mtn juice baja blast from Killer Juice and both were good.

However, me being a huge fan of cosmic fog's milk and honey I just had to try KJ's version.... I wasn't aware that it was possible to capture the taste of a heavily used NASCAR tire in e-juice but they managed to get it down with their version of milk and honey!

Nicoticket has to be the most raved about juice company. I was ready to succumb and order a few but they decided to stop shipping internationally. This makes me feel better ;)

My most money wasted on products was on Smok DCT's. The bit of research I did before buying several out of a coop had me think they were the cats azz but even after taking the carto's apart, punching holes all over the place. I just couldn't get them to work at all so all of them still sit in a drawer never to be used.
My other money waste was with the Evic, the software fried my first unit and with the 2nd unit I received the head popped off constantly so it sits in a drawer also.
I got many bottles of juice that can be called YUK all the way from "Rad Cow" from some Chinese site all the way to some of the finer Canadian vendors. Juice is something you can recommend but since taste is so subjective, one mans trash is another's treasure.....go figure. :)

I still love my protanks. Just tried a smoke DCT...... I'm just not sure after setting it up and losing an ml of juice. The airflow is super crappy. Have a kayfun on the way with a nano kit we'll see what happens. My expectations aren't there so it doesn't matter really. I really want to get away from having to buy anything repeatedly like coils. I can't get my stupid 2nd generation pt coils to open and shut with ease....my pt single coils stink on the istick. The mini nauti has been good to me but I don't want to be buying coils anymore....I want to be completely self sufficient.

Juice would be Boba's Bounty, I guess I deserved it by assuming 'tobacco' kinda meant a burnt smoking tobacco. Instead it means raw tobacco. Yuck! We can also put Tribute on that list. After my third hit I was honestly thinking 'litter box' when my wife looks up and asks if I am vaping cat {edited}. At least we were both getting the same impression from the vapor. I hope steeping makes it better ??

Not sure where this thread is going............or has gone.

Gear can play a very large part in e-Liquid Flavor. Build, even larger.
(1) E-liquid - ADV for a year plus.
T3-mini
Evod
Protank
Kayfun RBA
Orchid RBA
Omega RDA
Everyone and every different build on one produces a different taste result. Often it taste like a totally different mix.
Different Temperatures controlled be device capability effect flavors considerably also.

I also have an RY4(diy) that taste great in a Kayfun and even better in the Orchid. It taste like wet bread in a clearo.
