I have a new Hypertank that I bought about 2 weeks ago. I love the taste and vape produced from it. I am having issues with it that are quickly making it another paperweight. When I first got it the tank was flawless. I now have the flooding that others have complained about. When the fluid gets to about half the flooding starts. I know it has something to do with the vacuum inside but knowing it and fixing it are 2 different things. I followed the advice from this thread by "Skepticide" but have still had no success.

I tried:
changing coils, changing wick to cotton, removing flavor wicking, adding extra wicking, flipping the silicone seal, adding a second silicone seal, wrapping the coil with cotton, changed voltage, changing wattage etc.
I have used:
Ego Twist, Kgo 1100MAH, Itaste MVP, Home made 18650 flashlight mod.

I can get 1-2 dry draws then it begins to gurgle and soaks the battery connection. I have seen it drip from the center of the coil after removing it. I then used the same coil in my T3S with no problems.
I want this tank to work but i cant figure out how.
PLEASE HELP!!!

By the way after setbacks that I wont go into, I am 24 hrs analog free after 2 packs per day. So I REALLY want this to work.

there is something a lot of people forget about: check the drip tip well ... condensation will build up there and cause gurgling and juice splatter like it was flooded ... I'd suggest to clean/dry that well at least when you first use it (after it's been sitting overnight) and maybe once or twice thru the day....check it first when gurgling occurs, before you take tank apart

Thank you for the quick reply Meanckz. I have thought of that and cleaned it and the chimney with a Qtip just to be sure. But I have no question about it being juice leaking into the battery. In this tank I can take a few draws and remove the battery and physically see it drip from the bottom of the coil. and the battery ( which I clean each time I refill ) has the colored juice in it.

I've had that happen to me before and I have no clue what causes that, I thought it was the device (centerpin protruding too far) ... do some wiggle and jiggle ... here and there ... next time I use it all works fine ... so weird ... I thought it was because of rebuilts (maybe not put together correctly or tight enough) ... do some more wiggle and jiggle ... here and there ... still doesn't work ... change head, change tank, change device ... sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't and too many variables to keep track off

I even blamed it on weather conditions before, because all was fine while I was inside, then the minute I walk outside and vape, it's a flood

if it uses Kanger coils try "genuine" kanger coils ... those always work best for me ... no matter what device or tank (as long as it can take those heads)

Couple other possibilities come to mind.

Sometimes the head will become a little loose from opening to fill. Make sure it's tight before putting it back in.

I had on BCC leak - a lot - after cleaning. Taking the coil all the way out, I found a tiny speck of grit near the seal area. Cleaned it back up and the leak went away.

And yes, T3S heads will fit.

Nothing else in a BCC that I can think of has the 5 ml capacity, but maybe something smaller would be ok? If you want to stay with BCCs and glass, the PT2 and the Davide have been solid performers for me.

You know I have noticed that when it goes back together there is s small catch point. its not bad and I have looked for a burr but havent seen anything. I wonder if there is an issue with the way the threads are cut. That could effect the vacuum from evenly delivering the fluid. Do you think a little thread tape would work or would it melt?
It might be worth a try.

Bluecat, the cracked idea is worth looking into as well...

Thank you for the ideas

Teflon tape should be ok at the typical vaping temp, but I don't know it's actual melting point. If you already have some, nothing to lose. It will either work, or you peel it back off.

My experience, however, is that there's very little room for anything extra... one wrap might not be too tight... but if you wind up forcing it, you could wind up breaking the pyrex. So if you try it, be gentle! :)

I'm having the same issues. Just bought it yesterday. The thing leaks like a sieve! I've tried flipping the silicone gasket and that seemed to help a little bit but about .25 ml later, it's back to gurgling like crazy. I went through about 2 ml in a half hour with only intermittent vaping. I tried to take the top or bottom cap off to see if it was maybe the glass to metal areas but it doesn't seem to come apart. Besides, the juice is coming out of the center.

I seemed to have solved my problem by taking the bottom cap off then cleaning the inner threads with a small brush. I then put a 2.2 Ohm coil in it. The silicone gasket is in the natural position and I have no leaking. I also tried taking the flavor wick (sits on top of the coil) out and replaced it with a small piece of twisted cotton which helped too. I dont know your skill level so you can see how to take the coil apart here.
