I'm loving the easy transition from analog to electronic cigs. I couldn't have hoped for a better solution to smoking. It a hobby also it seems. I was completely unaware of this until a few weeks ago. My number one hobby and passion is collecting and restoring pinball machines. I'm on a great pinball forum, pinside.com. It was the first forum I spent any time on. It taught me if you want to learn about a hobby go find a forum. There you will find like minded geeks who can show you the way. That why I want to turn over my shopping list to you. This gauntlet of ecigs is best navigated with an experienced guide. I don't have a lot of requirements at the moment but I want to try as much variety as possible. I've been on the blu for 32 days now without a smoke but I'm ready to step up to something better. I'm thinking the ego. I would eventually like to have the mini for going out, the standard ego for a backup and the ego-c for around the house. I'm torn about what to buy first. I also want to buy 8-10 sample bottles of different flavors and nicotine levels to try out. I'm also interested in trying as many different atomizers, cartos, clearos, as I can. Even if its just one of each for now. I want my main kit to come with cartos as I believe that's what I will use normally. Help me put together the most well rounded starter package you can. The choices are overwhelming and I don't want to spend my money on something that's junk or I won't use. If you we're me what would you spend your $100-$120 on?

I would certainly not go for the Ego-C. Those cartridges leak a lot and very soon you will not want to use than anymore. I would burn that budget buying a few ego batteries and clearomizers like Ego T2 or, even better, kanger T3. If the size is a problem buy the 650 mAh batteries but if you want to have a start on variable voltage, buy a Ego Twist. Its is just to start the game, later you will have the opportunity and, maybe, the urge for some more advanced hardware. Anyway, it is a talk for some other opportunity. Keep vaping !!!

I am concerned about the leaking. That's the #1 reason I'm not buying it now. I see lots of leaking comments. What the difference in the ego and ego mini? Is it just a smaller battery or is everything smaller and not compatible with the standard ego? Are any of the parts compatible between the ego and ego mini?

This
eGo 1100mah CE4 Kit

1 or 2 of these.
510 Atomizer (Bridgeless)

spend the rest on juice

I like the kit and the price but I have a couple questions. One, is there a kit with one large and one small battery(1100&650mah)? I'm concerned with the size when going out and wanting to stick it in my pocket. Should I upgrade to twist? Last question, extra clearos, wicks, etc are not necessary right now? Just lots of juice?

its just a smaller ego. Same ego/510 threading. just different lengths and battery capacity.

madvapes has the eGo Spinner (1300 mah) Variable Voltage battery for $25.00... If you want to go with a carto/tank system I would go with a pyrex tank from Valley View Vapes.. for another 25.00 you could have a nice 4ml pyrex tank. A box of cartos from them pre punched is going to be around 7.00... so far the total is 57.00.... I would take the rest of the money and head over to Heathers Heavenly Vapes and order as much juice as you can afford. Buy 6ml bottles if you want to try a lot of different juices. If you want my opinion the Heavenly Tobacco is awsome and everyone seems to love Gandalf or "Legend" as they call it now. And then nothing but vapeage after that. IMHO... enjoy the obsession!

my vapes are from smokeless image. They have good starter kits and the products rock. I love that you can make more than black, white or silver battery choices in several different sizes.
I'd go with the 78mm Volts (two batteries are a must) and pick a kit that includes a wall charger along with the USB thingee.

Juice flavors are a really subjective thing.. thought I'd really love fruity vapes... and tobacco menthol's things and man.. was I wrong.

I am pretty sure the starter kits come with carto's.. either filled or blank and they have a nice selection of flavors. Also they have a good forum presence here too and lots of volties around to help out of just chat with. (can't figure out how to not end that sentence with a preposition) There are English teachers everywhere rolling over in their graves.

If I were starting over, I'd get two batteries, either Ego Twist or Vision Spinner in 900-1000 mAh. This provides VV on the cheap, with good, reliable batteries.

Two ViviNova tanks and as many replacement heads as funds allow (at least 10) and spend the rest on juice.

I agree and this is pretty much what I gave to some newbies at Christmas. But I was a nice guy and gave them a charger, too.:)

I find that I love the ego batteries, but don't like the size of the larger ones. I am comfortable vaping in public with the 650 mah, but that was before the 400 mah which I will purchase when these are worn out. These batteries 510 threaded fit everything, I love clearos. I suggest you buy 2 ego batteries (don't need a kit) a charger and a variety of delivery methods and juices and see what is your favorite.

I have 3 Kanger T3s. One flooded on me because I loosened the endcap of the T3 when mounted on my eGo-C twist. People have leaking problems primarily because they accidentally unscrew the T3 from the battery using the plastic tube, instead of the threaded ring connected to the battery.

Since I have been careful NOT to unscrew it from the battery using the plastic/glass upper part, I have had zero leaking issues. Everything seals up nicely once the bottom coil is screwed in fairly tight. Then screw on using the metal threaded ring. These leaking issues are likely due to human error. The instructions that come with the T3 mention this very problem to avoid leaking.

Try one out, follow the instructions, and enjoy. I have been.

Well i started a hair over a week ago and went with the 1000 mah ego t kit and then 2 days later ordered a spinner kit and glad i did. I tried the vision clearamizer it is ok but then i tried a nova at my local shop and it was much better. So today i just picked up 4 3.5mil nova kits. I run 2 on my spinners and wife runs other 2 on her ego t's works good on both. Only thing is they work better on mine cause i can adjust the volts so now she wants to get a vv. So basicly spend the couple buck more and get a vv either spinner or twist.
