I’m looking for recommendations for a good tank for my Provari.

I have several Kanger EVOD tanks which are actually my favorite tanks at the moment, and I use them with my Provari with an EGO adapter.

I have a Kanger ProTank which doesn’t work at all with the Provari – it just can’t breathe.

I have a re-buildable Igo-w which works on the Provari but which I just don’t like at all as it has no actual tank/reservoir (it's a dripper) but worse, despite having two coils with big wicks, just doesn’t give me the clouds I want. In fact, I get less vapor from the Igo than I do from the EVODS.

And I really, really want bigger clouds. I really do. vaping for me is all about the oral gratification and nothing I’ve used comes close to the clouds of smoke I got easily from my tobacco pipes.

I’m trying to avoid going the mechanical mod + sub-ohm route. I really like the Provari, but I can’t get really good clouds of vape going. Is there a tank/atty/etc out there that will get me closer?

Thanks.

IBTanked Pyrex Cartotanks, with Ikenvape cartomizers, have been my go-to attachment for over a year. Excellent flavor, excellent consistancy, minimal maintainance.

The last couple of days I've been using my first Kayfun Lite + on a Provari, and so far I'm loving this rebuildable.

Savoir-Faire is everywhere!
You can make your ProTank work in the meantime by folding a small piece of paper a couple of times into a strip and placing it between the tank the ProVari when you screw the tank down. It will allow just enough air in and keep the tank from wobbling.

That's what I did until my Aerotank bases came back in stock.

I second this.

None of the items mentioned in you original post are tanks.

The first group are clearomizers and the second are RBAS. Both are vaguely tanklike in that they have a refillable reservoir for liquid.

When you hear older members on the forum referring to tanks, they are talking about carto tanks. They were designed and invented right here on these forums and IMO are superior to any clearo on the market. They are also quite a bit less fiddly than RBA's especially if you buy them pre-punched.

I recommend Smoktech cartos but have also heard very good things about Ikenvape platinums.

Give em a try. They work really well with a Provari while providing the ease of use of a clearo tank and flavor approaching that of a well built rba.

Is that the Tobeco version do you know ?. Ships in 7 days it says.
It comes in a Tobeco box, but that's no guarantee that it actually is a Tobeco product. For what it's worth, it might as well be. It isn't an Ehpro or Hcigar version. Those have identifiable differences. It is 100% stainless steel, though, down to the screws.

If its 100% stainless that is a good deal. Can't beat the price. It's worth grabbing a couple.

I might have spoken too soon. When it first came out, they advertised it as 100% stainless and sent out replacement screws to everyone that ordered. I don't know for sure if they kept the screws switched out or not.

Here's the spare screws, but I don't know when they will get them back in stock.

Edit: Just checked again. It does come with both stainless screws and a replacement set of stainless screws. They just haven't updated the pictures.

Never ordered from Fasttech before. I read the orders take forever to arrive. Not like I am in a big rush or anything.

Use the epacket shipping option. The order should take about 10-18 days to arrive once it ships. The only time orders take forever is November-December and Chinese New Year...or if you have batteries in your order.

If you order a Kayfun, you might want to add these to your order.

This will let you shorten the tank setup, at the expense of space for juice.

These will let you change the color of your clear tank section.

Oh, and get about $10 worth of drip tips too. They have a huge selection of those.

Thanks. I still find the nomenclature finicky and confusing. To me, a 'refillable reservoir for liquid' is a tank. :) The main thing I dislike about the IGO-w is that it doesn't have such a reservoir. I hate dripping and fiddling - I just want to fill up my "tank" and go, like I do with my Evods and Pro Tank.

I also like that the Evod/ProTank atomizers are, technically, re-buildable. They're not designed that way, but it's fairly easy to do.

You might as well start learning now. :)

The type of tanks you like (we know what you meant) are called BCC's. Bottom coil clearomizers. That's why everyone has been recommending Kayfuns. They are an RBA (ReBuildable Atomizer) bottom coil design. So is the Russian 91%, the Sophia, The Taifun, the eXpromizer, and a handful of others.
