You were warned.
My Legacy wouldn't accept my AGA-T2 due to a threading issue and after a week of trying to use it on my Vamo (NOT the effect I'd been hoping for) I was questioning my ability to build a serviceable coil and s/s wick. I finally decided that since I intended to get a flat top for the Legacy, and the rba was dissatisfying with other non-mech PV's, damn the torpedos, this AGA-T2 is GOING on my mech.
I rather gingerly started threading the RBA onto the mech and tightened to the binding point...and then a little more. Backed off, and the threads seemed to be fine after my application of brute force. So I continued to thread the RBA onto the Legacy until it seated firmly against the battery post (which it did effortlessly after getting it past the binding point). Got the thing wicking and snarling, and took a fat pull, and was only dimly aware of the sound of the thud as the back of my skull hit the wall six feet behind me.
HOLY.
COW.
THAT was what I was hoping for! 4/5 turns of 28 gauge Kanthal and 400 mesh s/s, some tweaking and figuring out how to make the thing wick, and suddenly a whole new vaping experience.
Free advice to the uninitiated-Spend $120 bucks on a quality budget mech and RBA, and find what you've been hoping for.
I'll write up a quick narrative on some of the issues I encountered on my path to rebuilding (since I was a complete n00b I encountered many) that I think would be helpful to new folks in a day or so.
But right now, I've got some serious vaping to do
