Hello all! =) I am going to try to keep this short and sweet.
I am very confused. I vaped for about a month with Mistic e-cigs, I'm tired of paying 15 dollars for 5 cartomizers, and I am insanely sick of charging batteries. Which, this routine lasted for a month, and I started smoking analogs again.
-I need my vaping experience to be that simple-!!! Something as easy as taking a cigarette out, lighting it, and smoking it. Period.
Ok, now that my rant is over.. here is the real question. I did some research, (about an hours worth), found another post of another vaper who was tired of charging mistic batteries. The suggestion was a eGO twist @ 650 or 1000 mAh--ok, I understand what mAh means.. higher that number .. more life of the battery.. got it. That's probably what I need. What in the world do I need to go with it? Can I use blank cartomizers that go on my 808 batteries? Sorry if that's a dumb question. And if not, I have seen it suggested to use Nova's tanks? What in the world is a tank? How do I clean it? Why does it need cleaning? I am tired of dripping 24/7!! Does a tank hold more liquid? (I've heard up to 3.5 ml?) I am still learning the best method for this, I think I'm suffering from nicotine overload right now because I over filled a carto  I am using bloogplanet.com maxx fusion cartos with V2cigs.com batteries... for reference.
Is this more trouble than it's worth? I basically don't want to buy anything that I don't need. If the "twist" takes a standard USB charger.. I got that. I don't wanna buy another one. I've seen people talking about adjustment caps or those grey adapter thingy's.. I don't want it unless I need it. I looked into buying a starter kit of the eGO twist.. and I'm looking at it like.. I don't even know what I'm supposed to do with this.
So.. yeah. I am really trying to learn and have patience with vaping, but at this point I feel like I'm wasting money, and I'm so aggravated when I try to read this forum to find out answers but I don't understand the jargon. And I don't want to post unnecessarily. Someone please be kind enough to help me and have patience with me. And for those who responds.. I'm talking the kind of love and patience to explain what I need in terms I can understand, LOL. Thank you so much!

I'm new too. If you have 808 carts can i suggest looking at smokeless image's x2 batteries. They are compatible with 808 but have a real good battery life. I have not used mistic cigs, please keep that in mind. I can't say whether they are good or not. I am very happy with my volts from smokeless image. I haven't used any tanks but the carts from SI have been very good for me.

Okay, so an 808 is different from an ego, the ego uses a 510 connection, which is more popular and then you can get cartos for less money. Surevapes.com sells boge 510 cartos for 5 boxes of 5 for $23, shipped. You can use these with an ego or anything else with a 510 connection. They do not have the best price on a twist battery, but it isn't bad. But you will still need a different charger for your batteries than the one you use for the 808s. the chargers are available there, too.

UncleP is giving good advice with smokelessimage, they have a good rep for 808 products and the longer battery life is sure to simplify vaping for you! Everyone has troubles getting started- we all have different satisfaction levels, so keep asking and reading and trying until you find the best fix for you. :)

If you are looking at an ego twist here's a good review THE EGO TWIST IS A GAME CHANGER - YouTube Grimm Green does great reviews. Also Pbusardo is another great youtube reviewer...I think he did a twist review. The do sell adapters for 510-808 threads, I'm using one on my 510 connection so I can use my 808 cartos that I have from my V2. Carto tanks are nice because they hold more liquid than a carto (basically a tank with a carto pushed through the middle that keeps wet with holes at the bottom and the tank constantly feeds it.) The Vivi Nova's do say they hold like 3 or 3.5 ml, but the reality is they only hold like 2.8ml cuz you dont want to fill all the way, carto tanks you can fill it up all the way. Having both for a couple of days I tend to like my Vivi Nova better.

Hi doogmar! I did actually check out that review from Grimm Green.. and it looked awesome! But I found I was still left with questions. LOL. Can you suggest a site where I can find adapters for a decent price just in case I do decide to get an ego? So just to be clear.. If I went with a 510-808 adapter I can still use my cartos that are designed for 808? I'm sorry to ask so many questions.. I just wanna make sure I know what I'm doing before I decide to order this stuff!! Thank you so much!

Hey Terri! Fellow mistic user (hater) here too. Got so irritated with it that I about said Forget it! I came here with about the same questions as you and same annoyances. Here's the link to my thread, if you haven't read it http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...minis-crazy-confused-about-where-go-here.html You may find some helpful answers there. I just got my 90mAh Spinner and Mini Nova in today, but waiting on another order before I can use it (juice and usb cable). It seems pretty simple from just fiddling around with it. Top of the tank unscrews to pour in your juice and it just screws right into the battery. Hope my thread helps you out! Best of luck to you.

The 2 most common types of connections are 808 and 510. If yours is 808, all Smokeless Image products will be compatible. SI cartos are $9 for a pack of 5. Plus they have a discount code to get an additional 15% off all cartos. Their cartos are very good. But, the big savings comes with refilling the cartos yourself with your own liquid.

Whether 510 or 808, cartos tend to run between one to two dollars each, sometimes a little more depending on what kind and where you buy. $15 for 5 is a bit high. But, like I said, the biggest savings is in learning to refill them yourself.

If you like the 808, I would strongly recommend Smokeless Image.

If you want to change to 510 threading, the Ego type is the best bet. But, it won't work with what you have unless you get an adapter.

But, you can stick with 808 threading and still get a fat batt with much better battery life. SI has everything you need for that. And, all their fat batts are passthroughs. So, they come with their own charger when you buy them.

Sorry if I'm a little confusing. I'm sleepy. I think I'd best go to sleep. I'll make more sense in the morning.

510 to 901/808-D Shorty Adapter Thats one, a lot of sites will have them, check to see if the site you order from has them so you don't have to pay double shipping. Also I was going to tell you to email them to make sure it would work on an Ego Twist, but I noticed in the review someone asked if it would and they said yes. I also imagine you would be best off to get whatever Ego Twist starter pack they have, as you need the charger, 2 batteries, and whatever else comes with it...as well as the adapter. Btw I have zero experience with an Ego device so thats why I'm not exactly sure what you would need. But I'm sure someone with more Ego experience will chime in.

Terri, I got to say this is the what is so great about this site. You are going to get lots of great answers and if you're like me you will get more confused than ever. Just check into everything people suggest and you will find something that works. I used a no name gas station brand then move over to blu cigs. Then, I found a real brand and saw a world of difference. Take your time before you order and you will be alright.

Knowing nothing about Smokless Image and the Volt, aren't they pretty much the same as V2 or other cig style ecig? Won't she still have to be charging batteries all the time? She mentions she is sick of charging batteries all the time, and thats why she mentioned an Ego style? Just because they look like the V2 I had and I had to upgrade from those because I hated switching out and charging batteries every 2-3 hrs....I chain vape at times.

I hate sounding like a Smokeless Image commercial. You can get a x2 battery that will last a long time. It is still compatible with 808.

Ahhh ok I see those now....those look nice. I'll remember that for the furture....thanks :) Very cool that they have a pass through, as thats what I constantly used on my V2. A nice simple system. I still would prefer the Twist with what I know now, but that looks like it would be good too. :)

Im a newbie too, I can give you a little insight on the twist...I have one..well I have the standard ego c 2-650mah batterys and 2- 900mah batterys one is a passthrough and one is the twist...the 650mah last an 8 hour work day easy...the 900mah last me 8 work day hitting it hard and often, sitting at home in the evening and all through sleeping, in fact , I dont think I have had it die on me I always switch out batteries before then. this being said everyone is different in the way they vape/how much. I would always have a backup...the ego c I love but im a tinker, you can change out the atomizer easy, fill a couple of CE4 PLUS V2 Clearomizers, or any 510 threaded, the kit I got came with everything I needed for it...the standard battery with the kit has this feature: "The eGo-C battery has a built in charge indicator. The button will glow white when depressed if the battery has a charge of over 50%, light blue between 10%-50% and dark blue below 10%." (per my instruction manual) this feature is not on the twist but this may help you decide:

("The Joye eGo-C Twist Variable Voltage 900mAh Battery
"It's compact, portable, high capacity, durable and variable voltage!"

It doesn't get any better than this! Imagine a JoyeTech-quality battery with variable voltage features. Vape at your desired voltage! Higher voltage = More vapor! The eGo-C Twist battery is compact making it the most portable variable voltage device available. Don't forget the high capacity battery cell... Vape for hours on a single charge!*

The eGo-C Twist has a dial located at the base of the battery. This dial allows you to set the voltage output of the battery from 3.2V~4.8V in increments of 0.2V. Simply turn the dial to your desired vaping voltage. It features an easy to read numbered dial.

*Please Note: Results may vary. Using the battery at a higher voltage output will drain the battery quicker than when using it at a lower voltage. Standard Joye eGo series batteries output a regulated voltage of approximately 3.2v.

Tech Specs:

510 Threaded: Compatible with all of our Joye eGo Series atomizers and cartomizers, Joye 510 Series atomizers and cartomizers. Charge this battery using a Joye eGo Rapid USB Charger.

Variable Voltage Output: Voltage can be adjusted from 3.2V~4.8V

Short Circuit Protection: When a short is detected, the battery will shutdown until the short is removed.

Lockable: Press the button 5 times within 1.5 seconds to lock or unlock the battery. The battery LED will blink when switching modes. When the battery is in lock mode, the button is disabled and the battery will not power an atomizer or cartomizer.

Atomizer Protection/Cutoff Timer: If the button is depressed for 10 seconds, the battery will shutoff until the button is released.

Battery Monitoring/Over-Discharge Protection: The device will monitor the battery voltage and automatically turn off when the battery is discharged, preventing damage to the battery by overly depleting it. The LED will blink 5 times indicating that a charge is need.")(per joytechs description)

I personally, love my twist the vari. voltage (VV) is awesome. Good Luck I hope this helps...dont throw in the towel just yet.
