That gives me a new theory. I wonder if the higher voltage is 'cooking' the liquid onto the atty. And then the 3.7v device can't get hot enough to get through the cooked-on gunk. But boiling the atty cleaned it out.

That's exactly what I think is happening.
I ran the V2 all day yesterday....sweet!! anyway came home and went back to the Protege, hard to draw on it. Boiled it, let it set overnight, put it on the Protege this morning hard to draw.
Then I played with it a bit and fried it, won't go into detail but I should have just put it back on the V2 and went from there. I may have got another week out of it.
So now I have 1 New atty on the Protege and 1 New atty on the V2.
This will be done from here on out.
Oh yeah, just ordered 15 atty's from PS, nice discount Steve very nice!!
