I have tried many different PVs and have finally settled (at least for now) with the Protege and Prodigy V2. I think it's time there is a thread for folks that like these devices and I believe there must be a lot of us quietly enjoying them. All but one of these (2 Prodigy V2s and 3 Protege) were purchased from the classifieds. None of the ones purchased from the classifieds were working when I received them but all are working great now. I only had to purchase one new switch to replace a tact switch other than that I simply cleaned the units and applied Noalox. These units worked so well that I purchased a new one for my Dad as a gift.

I love the size and the vapor production, they just feel right in my hand and mine are working and working well. I have given a couple of the ones from the classifieds to friends and they are also really happy with them. So even though they are not perfect they are still the best I have found.

Please I understand that a lot of you have had problems with these units so this thread is a chance for folks to let others know some of us are happy with them.

They do work great when the switches are working.

I gotta say I do like the Prodigy V2. Its built well, and 5 volts is perfect. I tried it at 6 volts with my own homemade contact disc, but it obliterated the flavor of most liquids.

However I'm kinda dissapointed with the Protege V1. The threads for the battery cap were too fine and the cap didn't ever want to screw in straight and would easily pop out so now I have to tape it on. Kind of a bummer.

Every unit I ever got from Puresmoker worked like a champ.. Even the V2.

I sold mine only because I don't like HV with Cartomizers and that's all I use..
My hands are too busy to drip and I just didn't like the performance or filling of cartridges and trying to foam mod and everything..

I still have my original Prodigy V1 and it works like a clock.. It's retired now but is still a guaranteed "GoTo" machine for me should I ever need it..

PureSmoker has (thank God for Casey) some of the finest customer service in this industry and I do believe they truly care about what they produce and sell to the end user.

People bash the older PS line about the switches and threads which I have never had a problem with. Even my GF (who not mechanical at all) has an original Protege and has never blown a switch, had a problem with or stripped threads.

I still use my protege today. It was my 1st ecig.
Its still a killer vape.
I use the free switch mech. they sent out to me.
its worked flawlessly since i pulled the switch out of the package. =)
Liked it so much I bought another protege a while back.

I also have a prodigy v2 on the classifieds now.
I'm just not into 5v+ vaping currently.
still a good mod.
