Ugh me either. Now im reading the flavor isnt the best on them. I think ill try to see if a local vape shop that has one reasonably priced or will let me try,
Since it has been a while since you bought new equipment I think you will be very pleasantly surprised at all of the improvements made just in the last year or so. I use tanks that are 4ml, 5ml and up and never had a lack of flavor. It all depends on the build and wicking and the ejuice not on the volume. I do find that a 510 drip tip that has a wider opening improves flavor.

:)

My two favorites..
The TFV8 and the RTA-2 on the right..both vape extremely well.. the dual .17 clapton build in the RTA-2 at 95w has better flavor..but the TFV8 produces thicker clouds..my rotation for today, :)

Someone suggested geekvape earlier. Dang fever and junk. Is this what im looking for? It acts like its the plus and its 3ml

I think you're referring to the Griffin 25 Mini. It's the 3ml shorter version of the 25. I have one but haven't put coils on it yet so can't tell you about it. One thing to note is that the base unscrews the glass, that is, you can't pull the build deck without loosening the glass so I'd be hesitant to mess with the coils or wick with any juice in it.

Also, must say that the reason you're hearing so much about Griffin is because they're awesome RTAs... if you don't have any Griffins, definitely worth picking one of them up.

Here's pictures of the mini...

Did you get that other one canceled?

Flavor not great??? whoever says that is NUTS!! Or not comparing a DL RTA to a Griffin, or tried previous versions to which took skill to wick properly and said reviewer did not have the skill.

Yup, would never get that personally. I have to be able to build or change cotton without the mess which the 22/25 and 25+ all have.

One of the reasons i dont use my TFV4 that and the flavor sucks, wicking sucks not sure what the diff between TFV8 and the V4 if nothing just being bigger.

Got myself a g25 plus from NW. Decided I didn't want to wait, should have popped yesterday but hopefully I get by sat. Got plenty of nickel twisted waiting. If the flavor isn;t good ill crap my pants. A local vape shop was carrying a tasty strawberry (100%VG of course) for $25 for 150mL. I hate that PG got so tarnished, it carries flavor so well.

I went into a local vape shop (funny, those didn't exist when I was vaping carto tanks) and the selection was just outrageous. SO many options. I have SO many crud atomizers in my bin that id really like to hop straight to a good RTA and RDA.

My most recent atomizers are the magma (which I love for flavor, I think it has to do with the airflow hitting from the bottom) and it holds probably about 1ml so you can drip quite a bit. The other one I use is the avocado. I don't like it as much, the flavor is good but not great and the airflow isn't adjustable enough. I use a DNA 200 and a DNA 75 as my main mods (recent acquisitions).

So if anyone could bring me up to speed on today's best RDA(s) and RTA(s) it would be greatly appreciated. Looking at my $100 russian 91 sitting there just hurts that its wasted. I gave a bunch of gear away but I found that when you give it away people don't try at it at all.

So high on my list, #1 Flavor, #2 Airflow options (from behind coil like avocado with bottom of coil and front of coil would be amazing if such a thing exists) but also adjust ability so I don't have to be blowing giant clouds all the time, #3 a RTA that pretty much won't leak under normal circumstances but still flavor is paramount. Also, I really want to spend as little as possible on these (I have wayyy to many atties aka cash in the bin already), so if I have to get a china knock off for proof of concept im up for that but I can't be tossing down serious coin for stuff that I might not like so $100 atties are out of the question.

Any help for this out of touch old timer would be greatly appreciated.
I would go with the original Serpent Mini or the Goblin Mini V2 or V3

I saw some place selling 5 for $5. I would love a temperature control clapton. Do those exist? Like the outer layer be nickel?

85 watts scares me, I have yet to need more than 20-30
The key to higher wattages is good airflow..
This is my brother'n' law vaping at 80w..you can hear how much air he sucks (DL) thru the tank..its a cool vape actually

For use in TC, it's the inner wire that will determine functionality. The most common is SS. The outer wrap can be SS, nichrome, but not Ni. Prebuilt SS Clapton, fused Clapton, even Aliens can be found online. You can also get spools of Clapton coil in SS as well to wrap your own. Sources include Lightning Vapes and Advanced Vape Supply (which I've used and found to be well made and clean). You can even find them on Amazon.
