When I first started vaping and got my 510 I got a burnt taste and no vapor. I was so disappointed. After talking to the supplier we came to the conclusion that the carts had dried up and need to have juice added to them. I filled the carts as they told me to and then they worked awesome. Just my experience..... Worth a try

Can you share what they told you to do?

You might not want to run those low resistance atomizers on regular 510 batteries. Wait to use those on your eGo. The 510 batteries are not strong enough. You for sure are going to get hotter vapor off them. Are they all LR atomizers ?

Uhoh. I think I read that before, but I forgot about it. I'm putting them away for now. They were sucking up the juice and went dry really fast. And then I couldn't get the darn caps off to fill them again.

I know what ya mean with the burnt taste I have done the same thing, never permanently but i have a few juices that are really good all the way till that "holy crap!" burnt drag. I also have some that you just know that next drag is gonna be crap, so I add some juice and all is good. But if you really want to quit cigs The Totally Wicked vapers lounge is in Bradenton, Florida. I don't know how far that is from you but you could get some in person help and advice and maybe they could show you how to do a few things.

Best way I have found to remove cart cap (soft or hard) is to simply grab a dinner fork with strong tines. Place an outside tine in the hole (make sure it goes in about 5mm) and pry away. I have used this method on many different carts.

Yeah that works well. I carry around a small pair of scissors which are great for popping the top off

I thought I was the only person using a fork to remove my carto caps! :)
Forks seem to be the best tool because they have the right bend and aren't sharp enough to damage the cap. Don't worry, darlasue, it took me about 2 weeks to learn how to vape a carto without sucking so hard that I got juice in my mouth (yuck...). Hang in there - you'll forget all about analogs soon!

I am praying you're right. I will be so disappointed if I keep smoking these stupid, expensive cigarettes.

On the eGo, I love mine, only real issues I've had is my own stupidity and testing various cart mods on the XL atty/carts (REALLY big, holds a lot of fluid).

I've never used cartos, but for my carts I always have a pair of tweezers and a small (6ml) bottle of juice in my pocket to top them off. Currently have an XL on me that is my primary vape, now that I got the carts working well it lasts me most of the day on one fill. I also carry a normal 510 atty/cart ego on me so I can alternate if chain vaping. I learned in my first week, if you constantly are taking drags it's best to have 2 PVs on you so you can take 3-4 good drags and switch to the other PV. Doing it that way helps to make sure you're giving the atty enough time to cool down, so you don't burn it and give it enough time to properly wick.

You keep hearing us talk about the learning curve? You are on it now. The attys are all new and that is the most likely reason for the taste you are experiencing. There is a fine line between a dry atty and a flooded atty and experience is going to be the best way for you to learn the difference. I soak new attys in a bit of juice for an hour or two before vaping them. Drip 3-4 drops into your atty and let it sit for 15 mins to an hour to let the wick get wet. Blow it out and then drip again and see if that helps.

THANK YOU!!! THANK YOU!!!!
I had an atty that had this funky ... taste after i cleaned it... thought i killed it but soaked it with some plain VG and walla.. no more funk!!!!

One other thing that can make the taste off and can make it seem like your having to fill way to soon is if your cart gets just a little to dry the filler inside can burn pretty easy. Make sure your white filler in your cart isn't brown and crusty looking. Even after a little over 2 months of vaping this is the one thing I'm still kinda bad at.

Another big thank you to ShannonS. One of my burnt-... atty's was soaked in juice overnight. I just hooked it up to a fresh battery and the burnt taste is gone!!! Now I will be digging out the first 6 I "killed" to see if I can resurrect those too.

Hoping to cut my cig use for the rest of the day, now that I have 2 working atty's. Wish me luck!

The best of luck to you, Glad your getting it all worked out. Pretty sure you will be able to bring back the other atomizers. Happy Vaping

Darlasue, around what area in Fl are you?

Just try to have some patience and try not to get overloaded with all the info, its just that everyone wants to help.

what I would add is that I have learned you cannot try to "smoke' your pv, as you did with a cigarette. When you draw on it, draw slow and long. It is a replacement to smoking but not a total replication.
Did you get any of the prefilled tobacco flavored cartridges that usually come with a starter kit? if so try placing one of them on and vape it to be sure it is all working. this saves you from the hassle of filling empties and hoping your doing it right.

Also try spending some time on youtube, enter 510 e cig in the search field and tons of videos will pop up. Then just start watching, if nothing else to get familiar with what you are holding in your hand. As time goes on those videos will make more sense because you are getting experienced.

its different for everyone, some can quit smoking immediately, some just cut down and slowly ween off. Just try to go with the flow. you are on the right path and you have no where to go but upward. Please post back here to let us know how it is going and ask any question you have, its nothing others haven't asked before and there are no question thats too silly to be answered.
