I Be Vapin Now!!!

Just got my Protege today, usually don't dribble so much when getting a new toy, but I have to say I'm quite impressed!!!!

It came all nice and packed, I think Monk must of packed my box, it was so neat and organized. batteries are on the charger now, but I got the USB pass-thru extension, so I'm vapin off that, also got some of those 808 cartomizers too, but went ahead and just ripped the atomizer/cart off my screwdriver and thru it on my Protege. Man what a nice easy hit off the USB pass-thru.

Not thinking I plugged it into the USB port on my keyboard, started vapin and it cut off. Oh ...., what is going on, then I notice a pop-up on my screen saying one of my usb devices was drawing too much power and the usb port was automatically disabled. I grinned and plugged it into my power hub, what can I say.....Heaven, I'm in Heaven!!! Thanks Puresmoker!!!!

don't plug into computer as it can damage computer. (or so I've read)

the protege is a great choice.

Mines still runnin like new....I think it will last for a really long time.

USB is a universal standard. the 5v needs the USB 2 port. If your computer is using a good standards compliant port there is no worry. If it is using generics then there is no way to be sure other than windows complaining. when it complains it turn off the port so should still be fine.

If all you have are USB 1 ports then you can either get an external usb hub which has an AC Adapter to bump up the power or you could get a wall plug usb charging port. They dont use the computer at all.
