hey all, i ordered a prodigy passthrough a while back. i recently ordered a janty stick becuase it has built in passthough. the janty sticks draw though is like sucking air through a straw, though if you hit it correctly it does work. however the passthrough from puresmoker has a nice tight draw similar to an analogue. i was wondering if the current protege/prodigy has the same atomizer screw in part to provide the same draw experience as their original passthrough has?

also puresmoker/cashmere. do you have on your future design outlook to include a built in usb port so we can avoid external chargers and have a built in passthorugh feature. in my opinion, if your draw is the same as your usb passthrough as on your prodigy/protege lineup AND they had the ability to act as a usb passthrough/charger, i would have gladly chose your product over jantys. jantys product just had more bang for my buck with its features, however your usb passthrough is just .... and .... i use it to baseline any product i recieve.

Haven't heard about a built in USB port. They do have a PT insert for the protege though.

hey giga!

Yes, the USB and Protege adapters are the same - so the draw experience would be identical between the two.

As for a USB port -- At this point no ... Doesn't mean we may never do it, we have just stepped back from using solder (except for the USB PT) and have gone completely mechanical. Soldering of little electrical components can be a pain, and things tend to get a bit more destroyed in users hands. We have taken the simplicity route, with the least amount of things being able to go wrong....

Janty's product may be more *bang for the buck* but they also pay Chinese labor, and their materials aren't Stainless Steel like ours ;) I have nothing against Janty, I think their devices are sweet ... Its just hard to compare Apples To Oranges ... :)

Although I love the idea of a mod with a built in passthrough, built in recharger etc, I just don't like putting all my eggs in one basket.

I know right now that if my battery dies, I can take my passthrough and usb pack and still be good. If my new Prodigy with built in equipment failed, i'd be hooped. But thats assuming people get rid of their old equipment when buying an 'all-in-one' mod.

I would rather keep things as simple as possible and one of the main reasons I think mods are designed to use larger batteries is to keep the ability to not have to charge as often.

Just my 2 cents

I think one of the most compelling things about having a USB port right on the device (like the JS) is not so much for charging, but it's really nice to just be able to vape without battery usage. I vape like a mad dog in my car and it's nice to just plug in without wearing down all my batt power. My JS usb has been a lifesaver a few times when my batt was dead and I just plugged it in. i'd be a real fan of having a usb port on my upcoming V2! Even if it wasn't for charging.

Hey Steve - any plans for a USB unit for the V2 (like you have on the Protege)?

i just find it inconvienient to keep up with so many accessories/adapters/juices. so a couple less items to care for would be a more enjoyable experience. an all in one unit, built on good quality standards as puresmokers products usually are would yeild in a device to rule them all. of course an all in one unit that had a high fail rate would be pointless to buy.
