Good to meet you CES. Why would you need an adapter to keep using cartos. Just use 510 cartos and your good to go. oops, I didn't say that, I didn't say that. lol
Riva is a nice unit. I have 3 PV's in rotation right now on my desk. My GGTS at 6V with a HV 901 atty. A Chuck with an 18650 battery for 3.7V with a regular 901. And my Riva with a LR 510. All with drip tips though.

Good to meet you too- I didn't realize you were just a couple of hours away (it's not like I'm going to drive or anything- but still). I use kr8 cartos so I think I'd need a 510-901 adapter? All I've ever used is a kr8....

yes you would and if you choose to one day go that route do some research on the adapter before you buy one. I got some 510 > 901 adapters in just for that very reason and alas they didn't work with cartos. The adapter should have a vent hole for some sort for airflow.
Just be sure and read the description. As you can see on VJ for that particular adapter we clearly state will NOT work with KR808D cartomizers. They will only work with 901 atomizers.
Just a heads up. I think your best bet for that particular adapter would be MadVapes.

Not really but ya know life happens, lolol, we went to the pool, kids didnt want to wait for me to open my NEW TOY so i took it with me, heehee!!!! sitting by the pool putting my toy together!!!! didnt bring juice with me so I couldnt try it there.

It looks like a regular ol cartridge to me!!! they are dry as a bone should they be?????
I havent gone back to see the sale ad I purchased from ;( didn't want to keep Dexter waiting too long lol) I sorta thot I was getting cartomizers???? Can I use my whistle tips in here??? and what is this funny thing cone??? that screws around the atomizer.

Some manufacturers for whatever reason put atomized cartridge on the box. Yes it's confusing. They could either mean atomizer cartridge or they are just cheap and only print one box for everything. They are regular ol' blank 510 cartridges. Your not missing anything. That's exactly what they are.
Yes Whistle tip 510 carts will work just fine.
The cone screws over the atomizer this is mostly for aesthetics BUT when dripping it also contains any leakage. Some say it also gives a better draw by having the cone on. Is it neccesary in The Riva functionality? No. You may use it with or without the cone.
Dripping with the Riva, 3 drops, 4 at the absolute most but I would recommend 3.

My Riva arrived yesterday. I love it! It's my first non-kr8. I got an adapter so I'm still using it with cartos right now, but I'll probably play with atomizers and carts over the weekend.

I'll break even sometime in 2013 and thats assuming the price of cigs goes up to 12 bux a pack sometime between now and then.

The nice thing is that even with my new toy, I'm still ahead over smoking by about 35%, and have about 4-5 months worth of supplies.
