I do not have any problems when it comes to building just a regular micro coil,it does look like it might be a little bit easier to build "OCC head".The spacing between each wrap I will have to get used to that I guess you don't have to worry about any hot spots like you would on just a regular micro coil,however when I get around to doing it I will find out.
That was one of the things I didn't like about the lemo.... It uses really thin glass......jar heads aren't known for being easy on gear

You don't have to space out the coils, but if you want a good way to do that...... Use a 3mm screw, perfect spacing every time
I was going to make a build for the Lemo,but the tank cracked on me now I have to figure out where to get a replacement,going to coil and wick the .5 head that came with my subtank.
Just picked up a sub tank mini. The rba head is much improved

Just built a two wire 32 gauge twisted coil on the sub tank mini rba..... Built it to .9 ohms.... Works great

Went to my local B/M store,wow they are selling A pack of 5 OCC heads for $20 dollars for the subtank,i purchased some liquid only.Wonder why considering I can build and wick for probably around 50 cents.
I bought one pack of 5.... Just to have a number of them in rotation, always have 4 or 5 built and ready to go

I started to buy 5 but it did not happen the only little problem that I might have with the OCC is pulling the leads up.Rip made that look easy which it probably is I paid close attention taking the rubber part off you would not believe the original...dirty dirty!I bought one pack of 5.... Lol, I do my building at the bathroom sink (yeah, I've lost things down the drain ). I do have an entire cabinet in there just for juices and building stuff though.

The problem I am having with rebuilding the .5 head is getting the coil to stay in place while i pull the leads up,once i remove the drill bit the coil does not want to stay in place for me to wick it..I will get it right,little more practice.
Run the bit through the wick holes to hold coil in place while bending legs, only pull out the bit just prior to wicking
Ok all I have left to do is to wick it,one hour just to wrap coil keeping everything in place,spent more time just lining up the drill bit to go all the way through the coil,pain in the a##....kinda wish there was a way to take the top off of the head it would be a whole lot easier.
You can, it's press fitted.....but the body sometimes cracks if you do. The secret is leaving the legs long when you wrap your coil.
1. Wrap coil on 3mm bit
2. Pull coil off bit, insert through top of atty, long legs makes this easier.
3. Run bit through wick hole, coil and out the other wick hole.
4. Bend up one leg and put on rubber gasket
5. Bend up other leg, put in pin.
6. Trim off legs....as close as possible.
7. Pull out bit, put in wick, twist one side tight so it goes through easily
Easy peasy
