I work in a mill. I work in a mill that would give Mike Rowe nightmares for life. I work with carbon black. OMFG do I get dirty.

I use an ego 650 passthrough battery with standard 510 attys, so you have the extra outside thread that isn't used. Why not make a stainless steel tube that mates to that thread as a cover/protector for the atty/mouthpiece/carto? A steel eye hole would be good for placing a lanyard.

My wife as some cousins with a machine shop. I'm considering having them price the job.

Maybe I'm not understanding your idea correctly, but it sounds like you're describing the cone that screws onto the outter threads of your eGo. Check these pictures.

I like your idea, Off Topic. And yeah, I see someone is selling something similar but maybe your 'product' could be even better? Like different styles of caps. An LED at the top, making it double as a flashlight. A laser pointer. A pen. A 3ml juice bottle holder. Who knows?

Yep, those are the cone threads that allow the cone to screw on and dress up the ecig. They are also used for the eGo type tank atomizers that come with the larger barrel. I'm sure you could find other uses for this mounting and design some other accessories since you have access to machine shop equipment.
