Last night, i needed to get all of the liquid out of my 510 attys, so i soaked them all in a bowl of mostly vodka and water. I dried them out after soaking for an hour and then used one this morning.

Was that the way i was supposed to? Ive always just blown them out, never actually CLEANED them. But when i began using it this morning, it took me a minute to get the vapor going. And now i cant help but taste the mustyness of the vodka. Its not to appealing.

Is there anything i can do to get that to go away? or will it just go away on its own over time.

THANKS!

I use high proof 151 Galen's vodka $12/fifth - unflavored, uncolored and charcoal filtered - no taste and I use no water - that takes more time to dry. That said, you might blow out the atty that you have just in case anything else is lingering. Blow out at the batt end and clean up the atty walls with tissue, etc. You can use just water to clean - I don't think it's as good and you have to leave it dry over night - stand upright over a paper towel after blowing out what you can. If you can buy 'Everclear' in your state - 191 proof - that would even be better and less chance of taste but the Galen's is tasteless to me.
