Wow! I just got an IGO-W and did my first build. It took me an hour, I built 3 coils. I tossed the 2nd and 3rd and installed the 1st one. My coil looks more like the Flux Capacitor than a proper coil, but man, oh! man, the flavor!

And I had to do it without tweezers (couldn't find) and only a lighter (no torch).

Wicked with cotton. Lots of cotton.

Well, that was just a figure of speech.

My coil is tilted and uneven and goes up and down. At first glance looks like it has crossed windings, but it doesn't.

The cotton wick winds itself around the posts, the back side, off the table and down the street.

But I've never tasted such flavor! Ya'll were right, it is sooo much better than the iClear 30! LMAO!

Thanks!

Did your Igo-w come with a little blue screwdriver? Wrap your coil around that first, then use a flathead end of an eyeglass repair screwdriver to tighten the screws on the posts, while holding your coil in place with the blue screwdriver. Check your ohms, testfire (no torch needed) then thread your cotton through. Voilla!

Hi, Johntodd!

When I started winding coils (well, actually, still) a lot of them don't come out the way I wanted. For a while I tried to mess with them, but it's much easier to just toss a bad one and wind another. It stinks if you trash one while trying to install a wick (since you have so much "invested") and there's nothing nastier than that little "click" as the post guillotines the leg of that perfect coil you finally got in there!

But as long as you have some patience, lots of kanthal, and the ability to enjoy a hobby even when it doesn't quite go the way you wanted, you'll reap great benefits!
